VIN # 1D80W2B denounce a True SS 454 car with (W) as the Fifth digit, and Balimore MD assembly plant (B). Engine Identification # T0424CRW = 8-454 T/H, AIR, as a Real LS5 car. Body Tag reads ST72 13680 B423351 BDY.......TR 704 A51 68 68 PNT 05A 0018 . The car has 45,925 miles on it, and the motor appears to have never been out of the car. Motor runs good, and fires right up immeditely after hitting the key. Oil light does work. Car runs and drives, and can be driven up on a trailer for transport, but has been of the road for many years. The brakes are to weak for the road. My intentions were to do a complete body off concours restoration, and put it in the LS5 Chevelle El Camino Registory ,as is a very rare car. I hate to let this one go, but car needs to go to a professional restoration shop as it deserves. I have to many cars, and little time to enjoy them, to get to this one. Car will need completely restored and is mostly all there. Body will need both rear quarters, front fenders, rear inner fenders, and drivers door. Hood, tailgate, passenger door ,floor boards, bed floor, and all the glass, is in good condition. All the air conditioning still intact, with unfrozen compresser. Interior is all there, and complete. HEI was installed at some point, so original distributor is missing as well as the smog pump, and SS wheels. I have not looked for the build sheet. Interior has never been out of the car, so I am sure its in there somewhere. Maybe on top of the gas tank. My time is limited taking care of my elderly parents, and I am still working two more years, to retire. So I will try to get all the casting numbers off of the engine, or any others, if needed for serious interests, as soon as possible. The car is a true genuine optioned Super Sport, so anyone spending the time, and money; would do well in investment. As real SS big block cars are hard to find now days. Any questions please email.Additional pictures, please let me know. Any serious interests I will end aution. Car is forsale locally. ThankyouOn Jun-19-16 at 06:12:10 PDT, seller added the following information: Finally getting time I added some pictures of the floor boards, taking shots of the worse surface rust. There are no through holes, and the U channels all there. The rocker panels are good condition as well as the frame. Planning on putting car on a rack Monday to get quality pictures of chassis. Also get the rest of the Numbers. Far as more Numbers, DJ 6487394 is the Air Cleaner base, which is correct for Air Conditioning, Chevelle, El Camino car's in 72. The lid is not correct. Intake Manifold # 6263753 D2172. The console is in good condition no cracks. All the under dash wiring is good and not cut up, un touched, as well as the rest of the wiring, other than the HEI install. Radio fuse is blown, (CLK LTR CTSY)Clock fuse is missing. 400 trans kickdown switch intact; also Seatbelt warning lights and wiring. Tachometer works. Spare tire and jack are missing. All the glass & moldings good condition, the windshield is cracked at the top. Another good is the mice did not get to the car. The previous owner was a 82 year old man with a lot of cats. More information soon, Thankyou
