Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE Great condition two owner legendary 1995 W124 E300D. We bought it from the original owner, the auto check must have an error on the owner count as we have the original bill of sale. The reason for selling it is my parents are getting older and wanted a larger and more comfortable car for long trips, so they moved to a W220. Lots of recent maintenance including: all glow plugs replaced, complete engine fuel system overhaul, new engine wiring harness, starter motor, ignition tumbler, all four brakes pads and lines, front ball joints, left tie rod and center link. Original Mercedes parts used. Oil changed every 5,000 miles, transmission every 30,000 miles. When we bought it the shocks were replaced, as were the engine mounts, transmission mount, flex discs, coolant, transmission fluid, rear differential fluid, and ASD system fluid and various filters. There are four matching Michelin Defender tires with about 60% tread remaining. Everything works as it should 100%, with the exception of the headlight wipers. The right headlight wiper motor would get stuck occasionally, so both headlight wipers were disconnected as the replacement cost was deemed too high for something that isn’t needed in Florida. The A/C is ice cold! The front seat heaters work great, a rare option on these cars! Cosmetically the car is in great shape! It’s been garaged its whole life and it shows! The interior is 9/10 and the exterior is 8/10. The leather is soft and supple, and no cracks on the dash or other surfaces. Only the center arm rest shows some slight wear. Both owners were non-smokers. The headliner is starting to sag very slightly in the rear, but it is not very noticeable or obtrusive and very serviceable for quite some time. No rust, other than a tiny amount of surface rust on a scratch on the top of the trunk, see pics. Mercedes touch up paint included. The windshield has a wiper arc scratch that never bothered us as it is faint and outside your field of vision but could probably be buffed out if it bothered you, see pics. All original paint and body work, no accidents or repairs. Some minor scratches and dents as would be expected for a car of this vintage, see pics. The paint is shiny and in good shape. The car has been waxed and detailed regularly. Mechanically the car is 100%, no issues or leaks. The motor is smooth and strong with good fuel mileage, returning low to mid 30’s mpg consistently. The transmission shifts smoothly, no strange shift behavior or lags. The rear differential has a slight whine at highway speeds you really have to listen for to hear. The original owner said it was like that for years, and it’s been the same since we’ve owned it. The suspension and steering are tight with no loose play or vibrations. Sold as-is with no warranty, sale is final. If you’d like to arrange for a pre-purchase inspection, a Mercedes dealer (Lokey Mercedes) is located close by and we could drop it off. Expertly maintained by Mercedes dealers and a Mercedes specialist, excellent condition, drive anywhere, no issues!
