Vehicle Detail
We purchased the van in 2007 to assist us with transporting a family member with mobility issues. As such, we kept the van in top running condition so we would not be faced with a roadside event. When not in use, it was stored in a climate controlled storage facility so the finish and body are in great condition. We had not planned on selling the vehicle but the family member we had it for passed away recently, so we don't need it any longer. Key Benefits: - This vehicle is very comfortable to travel in. It only has 3 rows of seats so you can easily move around in the van while traveling. Also, the seats are super comfortable and have plenty of adjustments. Everyone who rides in it loves it. - It has a 5.4 liter V-8 with plenty of power to go through the mountains fully loaded. The oil was always changed every 3,000 miles. - It does not smoke or sputter or have any known motor or powertrain issues that need attention. - We used it once in a while to trailer a pair of ATV's and/or a utility trailer. The extra weigh was almost unrecognizable. It has a 2" receiver hitch with a 4 wire lighting kit. - The interior is in great shape. The are no stains or wear marks on the carpet. Each time it goes in for service at the Ford Dealer, they always make remarks how clean it is for it's age. - The tires and brakes are in great shape. - We have the service records since we owned it. - I am comfortable driving it anywhere. A 12 hour drive to the east coast was no problem. We had plans to drive from Ohio to Florida this summer. The van was ready for this trip. Know Issues: -The REAR audio /video equipment is dated and needs some love. I tried updating the gear but I never got the wiring right so I just pulled the fuses and didn't bother with it. The FRONT dash mounted sound system works great and plays music through the rear speakers. -The power mechanism that lays down the rear seat needs the motor replaced. It struggle to return to position. I found the part for about $200 on eBay but never took the time to replace it as we never folded down the seat. Other: - The van was not smoked in. - It was used to transport the family cat and dog a few time but this was not a common occurrence and there are no pet hair and there were never any pet accidents in the van.
