Moreover, with this rare color, you would likely have to wait the months we did for her to come in! And let's start with this car’s history. Ordered by a CEO here in sunny Southern California, this car has seen an extremely easy, carefree and loved life. Never abused, raced or beat on! Painted in special order Electric Blue Metallic, this gorgeous color shines even in the dimmest light. This silverly flake in the blue adds light and dimension to the sporty body lines. The base price of this stunning Cooper S was $24,100 Then came the options!! As a special order, this Mini was painted from the factory in the stunning Electric Blue Metallic. It is paired with Carbon Black interior seating and trim. It took months of waiting and added $500 to the bill. Also check in the option box was the Sport Package which includes Dynamic Damper Control, 17" Cosmos Black wheels, LED fog lights, LED headlights and white turn signal lenses. Also included in the package is Performance Control, Sport leather steering wheel and Runflat tires, Mini Driving Modes, Mini Excitement Package, Sport Seats, Automatic Climate Control, Ambient Lighting, Bluetooth and USB. This package added $1,500, to MSRP. For $1,000 more as well, the panoramic sunroof was added! And so was the rear spoiler for $250 With tax, destination charge, and fees this car cost $30,000 out the door only but a few months ago! This is a HUGE amount of car, performance and money for the price. To put it bluntly, this little monster is optioned with every feature you could want. With only 3,000 miles, it looks and rides like new. This blue beauty has lived in sunny California for her entire life, and is therefore rust and corrosion free. It has never seen rain, snow, fog, sleet, hail, Godzilla attack or anything other than 70s sunny CA living. CONDITION & SERVICE This car has been ENTHUSIASTICALLY and PROFESSIONALLY maintained and owned. It is a BRAND NEW car for all purposes so maintenance has been a non event so far other than check ups and oil. I would like to go into every aspect of the car, but in reading below, it will get dully repetitive because the answer to all questions is "It is perfect as it left the factory!" No chips, dings, scratches, wear or any other excuse. Let's start on the engine and drivetrain: -ENGINE Starts right up, no issues, no check engine lights - ZERO stories. But let's chat about that engine for a second. What an engine it is! GOBS of power - a tame kitten around town, a TIGER with a heavy right foot. The 189hp feels not a hp shy and feels spry because of its low weight. The car springs to occasion if you give it the opportunity. -TRANSMISSION Shifts are smooth and effortless. No issues and great clutch from being driven by a mature adult. Lets move to the suspension and brakes: -BRAKES Babied and near new brake pads in the front and rear - loads of pad life! -SUSPENSION The shocks dampen the ride wonderfully and control the springs perfectly. No clunks, bangs, noises or knocks. They are tight in corners, but yet supple around town! The dynamic controls work perfectly. -STEERING The steering is tight and has no excess play. It has a nice medium weight to it, with great road feel! -CHASSIS This is another incredibly surprising and wonderful part of the Mini that few people may discuss. The chassis, or structure/backbones of the car, are critical to a good handling car. But too tight and the noise and harshness will be too much. Too soft and the car will not handle well. Whoever designed the Mini deserves an award. It is WAY more comfortable around town than any BMW, but yet tight that when hustled feels confident and tight. I was stunned by just how good this chassis is! Its communicative, forgiving, comfortable and tight all in one! Its a car lovers dream! Let's continue to the exterior: -PAINT The paint is perfect! It is a 10 out of 10, and I do not throw that around EVER. 10 out of 10, as it left the factory and perfect. No scrapes even on the underside of the chin spoiler. No dings, chips, or any other flaws. Perfect. Shiny, beautiful Black paint was recently polished, finished and waxed by a highly acclaimed detailer here in LA. It looks FANTASTIC. CLEAN and CLEAR CarFax. NO ACCIDENTS. This is a dry SoCal car! That means no rust lurking under the surface ready to pop up and ruin your paint! If there was a place to buy ANY car, it is dry, warm SoCal. No rain and no road salt! -WHEELS The wheels are in stunning shape with not a flaw or curb mark on them -TIRES Tires have 95%+ life remaining and ready to go countless thousands of miles! No leaks, no issues! -GLASS Not to let a pebble defeat this car, the windshield and glass are great shape! Onto the cabin: -SEATS The seats are fantastic!!! They are incredibly supportive with zero foam wear. The leatherette is SO soft and comfortable and will wear nicer and with more durability then leather. I truly love driving this car. You sit bolstered comfortably and in wonderful seating position in these buttery soft seats! The interior has been recently cleaned and conditioned as well! Again... factory perfect interior. -HEADLINER Beautiful and clean! No issues! -CARPET Beautiful carpet in the car! It has been cleaned as part of the overall detail. VERY nice, near flawless! Check the floor mats - not even a heel mark! Even the brushed sill guards still have their original blue tinted plastic protector on them! -RADIO/CD CHANGER OEM radio sounds fantastic - deep, rich sound with clear lows and well defined highs. The 6 speaker system allows you to hear parts of your favorite songs you never even noticed before! -AC/HEAT/HVAC Panel AC is ice cold and Heat is earth core hot! -STEERING WHEEL The leather is with out a flaw and shaped beautifully for around town and spirited driving! -KEYLESS ENTRY Remote keyless entry arms the alarm with a press of a button! -CARGO AREA Beautiful, essentially unused trunk with the optional trunk carpet looks beautiful! The Experience Driving this Mini is truly is fantastic. It is Lexus quiet inside, pulls and handles like a sports car and is as comfortable as a Rolls Royce. It has LOADS of power, a communicative chassis, wonderful strong brakes, a well tuned suspension and is an absolute treat to drive. That said, for those of you that enjoy cars, but aren't looking for something to become deeply involved in the driving experience, fear not - this car is a wonderful, casual, great place to spend time. Easy to drive and otherwise a beautiful luxury car! For those of you who are looking to take that next step in the driving experience, DO NOT IGNORE THIS CAR! This is the car to go head to head with ay modern sports car. Don't spend big money on a car from a "turn-em-and-burn-em" style dealer when all they do to promote the car is say a few things they think people like to hear.
