A simple, reliable and rugged machine. I've owned it for the last decade. To my knowledge, no bodywork has been done before or since I have owned it. Non-smoker owned. Detailed 05/25/2016. In the last few years, I had professionally installed (before needed): New clutch, water pump, radiator, thermostat, tires (about 9,000 miles on them), brake pads, battery, windshield and other preventive services and repairs. Oil changes have been done with synthetic oil while I have owned it. Soft top assembly goes with, but I have never put it on. I can only surmise that all the pieces are there and serviceable. I cannot speak for the soft top due to its age and the fact that I have never used it. If I can find the Bikini top for it, I'll throw it in the deal. The vehicle is stock except for the K&N filter system that was installed before I got it and the tow hitch I had installed along with wider fender flairs. Things to nitpick:The door tether bracket on the passenger door needs to be re-secured as the screws that hold it stripped out. The door works fine and it hasn't been a priority for me to fix. The console armrest lock is not working.Exterior driver's door handle is corroded, but works fine. Paint fail on aluminium exterior mirror mounts. There is a crack in the plastic of the driver's door interior trim. There is only light body surface rust (as pictured). A large portion of the Jeep's life was spent in the desert State of New Mexico. It loved Albuquerque. There are the typical road chips in the finish. The vehicle is used after all. If you are looking for something of this age in concourse condition, this, like most Jeeps, is not for you. It is an honest vehicle, but it is not "new". I put this out there in the spirit of full disclosure, doubting that anyone cares. My conscience is clear that the vehicle is described accurately. Like all older vehicles, this is sold "AS IS". We all know we are buying things that will eventually fail, but this Jeep has a ton of life left in it. I would drive it cross country without hesitation if the Zombie Apocalypse happened today. I'd also feel confident letting my Mom drive it to the grocery store. Yeah, she can still drive a stick! Bid with confidence. Of course there will be rust on any car that has spent nine years in Ohio winters (the balance in New Mexico). As you can see, there is surface rust on exposed metal (no surprise). The only part that seems to have rust perforation is the right hanger bracket for the fuel tank (pictured). It's an inexpensive repair. I would have mentioned this earlier, but I rarely climb under my car to take pictures. Additionally, the Air Conditioner was serviced May 31st (it blows ice-cold) and the Bikini Top has been located.
