THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION STARTING BID $2000.00 1940 Dodge ½ ton pick-up rolling chassis Fits 1939 – 1947 Dodge ½ ton short bed truck. Everything has been rebuilt; 230 c.i. engine so far, never been fired. Includes all parts to make engine run. Also have Offenhouser dual carb intake with linkage. Stock intake also inc. Engine is mated to a later model torque flite automatic transmission Push button gear selector inc. Front axle rebuilt: king pins, tie rods, bearings, brakes etc. Steering box is a P.O.S! I wouldn’t trust it on a lawn tractor. Mustang rear axle, new brakes, non- posi. Frame was sandblasted and painted semi-gloss black. (12 years ago) The paint is showing some age, buts its always been inside the barn. The rolling chassis was part of a complete truck that came into my shop half done. We continued the build until the customer lost interest (died). I now own the truck and it’s being built in a different direction. It was a better idea for us to build a modern frame from scratch, rather than cut up a perfectly good original. Call between 8-8 central time at 815-943-0992.
