You are looking at my Jaguar XK 8.. I purchased this low mileage car in Miami where it has been for most of its life. The car was stored annually while the previous owner was out of the state. The car is in excellent condition and shows no damage or rust anywhere. It has been garaged and has never even seen rain since I have owned it. I only drive it on weekends with the local Sports Car Club. If you are familiar with Jaguars of this vintage you know of the potential problem with the timing chain tensioners. They were originally made of plastic and were prone to breaking followed by engine failure. Do not even consider one of these vehicles if the tensioners have not been repl- aced with updated steel ones. .This upgrade was done on this vehicle by the previous owner and the document indicating accomplishment is available..For a vehicle of this age (18 years) it is in remarkable condition. There is some visible wear on the drivers seat. No holes or tears but some surface cracking of the leather.. All other leather on the doors, armrests and rear seats is like new. The convertible top is also like new, I only raise it occasionally to wash the car . There is a small problem with the ash tray cover, it will not stay closed, I don't know why. The ash tray and cigar lighter have never been used (Non smokers). There are no issues with this car and it could be driven anywhere, it's a real head turner as are all XK 8 s.Everything works as it should, the A/C is one of the coldest that I have had.. The original Phone from Jaguar is still in the center console, but in this age of cell phones and I Pads I believe it to be nothing more than a conversation piece.The burl wood dashboard is really beautiful and in excellent condition. The paint looks excellent and except for a few scratches on the hood from June bugs (and traffic) there are no problems. Automatic windows, memory mirrors and in dash cassette player ( six CD changer in the trunk ) all work as they should. The chrome wheels really add a nice touch to the appearance of this Jaguar. The convertible top cover is still in the trunk in the original black bag, it has never been on the car. Thanks for looking and I will be happy to respond to any questions you may have.
