Vehicle Detail
ONE OWNER1995 SVT Cobra Mustang5.0L HO VIN 1FALP42D6SF210799 There’s an old saying in the collector car world: Any vehicle can be restored, given enough time and money, but it can only be factory-original once! This Cobra sold new here in Seattle and has remained with the same owner couple for the past three decades. With the exception of nice aftermarket alloy wheels, they kept and maintained the car the way it drove off the Ford dealers shownroom floor in the late spring of 1995. I’ve personally always preferred these early 5.0 HO Cobras over the 4.6 liter later models because of their much more durable engines. What you see in my photos is not the result of a detail, this car came to us in this superior, clean, original condition. If you have questions (or would like to discuss a sale) feel free to call, text or email me. My name is Mark Thompson and my direct number is 206/914-1173. From the door data plate the color is specified as Rio Red (E8), The original dealer origin DSO was 74 (Seattle), the rear axle (Z) has 3.08 gears with limited slip Traction Lock and the transmission is a five speed manual T-5 Overdrive. CONDITION: The photos really do tell the Mustang’s story. I’m always happy when we come across rare, well-preserved, original vehicles and are then able to offer them here to you! This one appears to still have the same paint it wore driving off the Dearborn assembly line. Yes, it still holds quite a shine though there’s a small section above the driver’s window that has partial clearcoat loss. I’m not a body or paint guy, but I find no evidence of any body work ever having been done. Our CARFAX reports no history of accidents or any other flaws and backs up the one-owner status. There is NO discernable body corrosion or ANY damage to the frame. Rust generally isn’t an issue here because of the mild climate in western Washington State; our winter roads are never salted. First sign of a snow flake; everyone panics and just stays home! Those original owners assured us this Cobra has not seen winter roads during its life; it was strictly used as a fair weather spring, summer and fall driver. Feel free to climb over, under and around this rig - I absolutely know you’ll come up smiling! Both headlight assemblies are clear and bright as new. Absolutely no fogging as you’ll find on most of this vintage. I really like the way these 18-inch Kasino Alloys with their low profile 245/45 ZR rated radials fill out the wheel wells even better than stock. Each tire appears to have at least 70-80% remaining tread. Please take another good look at the interior photos. Settle into the leather power driver’s seat and you’ll quickly recognize just about everything is factory right down to the door pull handles. The carpets are still protected by their color-matched Cobra Mustang floormats and are in great shape. Both front buckets are as the pics show with only a very small wear spot on the driver’s left bolster. There is absolutely NO smoking odor in this car. The leather rear bench is also original and appears unused. All the Cobra-specific white dash gauges are clear and bright. Years ago the factory radio was switched out for a quality Alpine stereo. It's enhanced by a powerful JBL amp and bass speaker mounted in the trunk. Mechanically, I feel the car is in great shape. Even after sitting in our warehouse for a few days it starts right up at the first few cranks – you just can’t beat the bulletproof 5.0 Liter High Output V-8’s that all Cobras came with from 1993 through 1995. The strong clutch and T-5 transmission shift as intended, sending power to the equally strong Traction-Lok differential. After driving the car daily now for several weeks I can report great freeway acceleration and it cruises smoothly through all the gears to 80 MPH just as expected. Cobra -specific four wheel disk brakes make these road rockets stop on a dime. They feel just fine, too – no pulling or fading. If you’re in the market for an original, low-mileage, clean, great driving coupe, please give this very nice car your kind attention. There aren’t many left out there in this condition AND it’s posted with a low reserve! As a fifteen year Ebay vehicle seller with hundreds of satisfied online buyers, I want you to bid with confidence knowing this Mustang looks, runs and drives as it should and that it’s being accurately represented to you. I’m always very happy to work with any shipper you choose, but you’re also welcome to do what many of my previous buyers from as far away as Alaska, Arizona, the Midwest, Canada, Florida, New York and even the Mexican Baja have done – fly in here to Seattle (I’ll pick you up at Sea-Tac International just a few miles away) and then start a spring road trip home! Please check the photos over closely and call me with any questions BEFORE you place a bid! Because of the amount of money involved with a vehicle purchase, we reserve the right to cancel your bid if you have any negative feedback. I also ask that potential bidders with a feedback rating of five or fewer transactions on Ebay contact me before placing a bid. Finally, we reserve the right to end the auction early if the Mustang is no longer for sale or an acceptable offer has been agreed to before the end of the auction period. Please feel free to contact me directly thru Ebay’s system or, as outlined above, call or text me at 206/914-1173 anytime. My name is MARK THOMPSON. A Few Additional Terms and Conditions: A nonrefundable $500 deposit is due within 24 hours of the auction’s conclusion. The balance is due by cash or certified funds within seven business days unless prior arrangements have been made with me. I can accept PAYPAL, but if you plan to pay any more than the deposit through them I’ll first need to invoice you and ask that you cover the 3.5% fee charged. Please remember you are bidding to buy and I fully expect the winning bidder to fulfill their Ebay contract! You’re not bidding to hold or then come inspect and test-drive the vehicle later -- You’re more than welcome to do this before the auction ends. If you decide to have the Cobra transported to you, there are scores of companies to choose from. I ship vehicles regularly and suggest that you get a transport bid from Dependable Auto Shippers (DAS) at (888) 817-6203. Be sure to give the rep. my affiliate number (2362642) so they can pull up all our information for a station-to-station or even door-to-door quote. As an alternative, you might also get bids from the U-Ship.com website. You’ll be able to choose a transport broker from multiple offers. The zip code for pick-up would be 98002 (Auburn, Washington). The shipping of the vehicle and company chosen are the responsibility of the BUYER. The Mustang can be stored free of charge at my location for up to two weeks after the auction ends assuming full payment has been received. After that period storage is $20 per day. Though I have NO doubts about the vehicle’s road-worthiness or ability to easily manage a long-distance road trip, it is being sold “as-is, where-is”. All information described above is based on the observed condition when the listing was placed. I've done my best to describe the car as honestly as possible and encourage bidders to contact me with questions.
