Vehicle Detail

1963 Studebaker Daytona Wagonaire: R1 289hp is one of the performance packages available for 1963. The restoration included rebuilding the engine and all other components of the drive train. The car was purchased from Orange County, CA in 2011, the restoration completed in 2012 and 2013. It was shown at national convention in Dover 2014. The undercarriage and engine compartment were as beautifully restored as the exterior. Using mostly NOS parts, the correct hubcaps and reproduction tires add the authentic look to this restoration. There are photos of the car prior to restoration, receipts and communications. We are listing this for a friend and have limited information as to where or who did some of the restorations. It's a beautiful car, runs and drives well. The car is for sale locally, so this auction could end at any time before reserve is met. We've chosen not to offer a "buy it now", so that should answer those questions. We'll answer inquiries as promptly as possible. Thank you for looking, bid now, bid often!! You don't see ones as nice as this come to auction every day! On Apr-15-16 at 06:19:49 PDT, seller added the following information: Thanks to everyone that sent messages. We're doing our best to represent the car as accurately as possible. 3 photos have been added that should answer questions bidders have about the engine. As we stated, we are listing the car for a friend and our knowledge of Studebakers is limited. We do have new information about the individual in charge of the restoration and will be able to answer questions from him prior to the close of the auction. This car isn't being advertised as a "numbers matching" original R1 car. Bidders should understand that and bid accordingly.
