Vehicle Detail
This sale is for a 1963 AMC Rambler Classic Wagon. This is a great running project car. The story I got from the previous owner is that it had originally came from the state of Washington located in Tacoma. It was brought to Ohio a little over a year ago. The Rambler V8 is very smooth. It starts right up. No smoke no noises no issues. It speaks through recent aluminum dual exhaust. It is solid and not too loud. It has an automatic transmission. It was recently serviced and all the fluids are clean and clear. It has had many upgrades and common wear items addressed. Previous owner stated it had a valve job and modified to run on no lead fuel. It has a newer one wire GM alternator. Master cylinder, brakes shocks belts etc. It has an upgraded power steering stabilizer and new hoses. The differential has been serviced too. Original radio powers up. Lights and signals work. It has a great body and no signs of serious if any rust. The pans are solid as are the frame rails. The only issue is where the hinge mounts to the tailgate. As a result the rear window was removed to prevent it from being damaged. It looks like an easy fix. No signs of damage to the skin. The carpet was removed. The previous owner liked the honest look of a bare metal floor. Indian blankets would do wonders however seats need re-covered. They are still solid and original. Drivers side door panel will need replaced. It is a flat panel. The paint on the drivers quarter has been damaged by gas spilling out over it. It looks new enough that it could be repaired without painting the whole car. I have also seen guys do custom wood grain wraps on vintage wagons that normally did not have them with fantastic results. Known issues will need new tires. That means if you plan on driving it home bring some wheels or plan on buying them. The rear stabilizer bar will need a bushing. It is still a 50 year old unrestored car and not without fault. It is not mint. It may or may not need more. Please understand you are about to purchase a vintage car. It is a very nice example worthy of a full restoration or with a little work enjoy as is. It has a clear title and miles are stated as original. Take a look at all the pictures. I am listing this at $1.00 start price with no reserve. I did not list with a buy it now option nor am I looking or expecting a certain price. I am not listing with a reserve only to fish for an offer. Bottom line this is a real auction. If you are a bit of a snake and wish to own it now Great! Make an offer I cannot refuse. Tell me what you will pay for it. If not simply have the last bid. Couldn't be any easier. I sincerely ask that bidders with zero or very little feedback to contact me BEFORE you bid. At any one point during the sale I may send a friendly message and will expect a reply or may cancel a bid. Anyone who bids but gets outbid you could end up being the winner as a result. So none of this "I didn't know" BS. or none of the "My kid bid on your car....." Please be responsible and get permission from a key decision maker before placing a bid. The car is being sold as is and as seen. It will need a complete restoration to be mint. I am not an expert and have done my best to describe but may have missed something. Inspections can be made by an appointment prior to the auction ending. No inspections will be done after the sale. Deposit of $500. must be sent and received within 48 hours of winning. Balance of payment in full within 7 days. You can send the deposit and balance all at once within the 48 hours if you would like. Do not make travel plans if deposit was not sent (or received) Doesn't matter is you are 5 miles or 5000 miles. Deposit must be made. Balance within 7 days in full. Pickup within 3 weeks or subject to storage fees if prior arrangements not made. Shipping arrangements must be made by the buyer. I can recommend a broker who is very reliable if needed. Thanks and good luck.
