Get Ready for Summer Jeep Driving. It's almost here!If you want one of the nicest looking and running Classic V8 powered JEEP CJ5 on this planet, please read on. It has passed it's rigorous yearly safety inspection within the past 30 days. I also added a Warn front bumper with shackles, but I have the original bumper. The Jeep looks great. This Jeep is a True Factory RENEGADE with LEVI option. This Jeep had all of it's original paint and factory decals on it before the restoration. Please SEE PHOTO'S. The Jeep even retains it's original 40 year old LEVI dash pad with no cracks as well as many other original items 40 years later. This Jeep has been well cared for and was adult owned and not abused. Buyer can also have the original seats that were removed from Jeep in Levi blue. A much nicer set of "new" Jeep bucket seat's have been installed that will adjust on rails for more leg room. This is West Coast desert Jeep that is TOTALLY RUST FREE inside and out. A Classic Jeep at it's best. Jeep retains all it's original body metal, with no metal patch work required in the restoration, which is very rare for any vehicle that is 40 years old. This Jeep was just repainted for the "first time" using original factory paint color of 76-78 Jeep Brilliant Blue, Paint code R-6 Paint ID 44117, the same as factory ID VIN tag. The factory OEM Jeep and Levi logo were reinstalled after paint work. The big RENEGADE hood graphics were left off hood, because many Jeep owners prefer a clean look, however, I am including with the sale, a brand new graphics package if the new owner would like to install it. Jeep was color sanded and buffed to a nice wet shine finish and it look's great. The inside of Jeep was also gutted and finished in a "water proof / rust proof "color matched Blue Raptor armor to keep the inside floor's nice for many years to come. The full safety Roll Cage was also removed and color matched. Everything works including the Heater, Two Speed Wipers, Inside Blinkers and All Dash Board Lights, Emergency Flashers, and Emergency Brake. All Dash Cluster works, including the Temperature Gauge, Fuel Gauge, Oil Pressure Gauge, Dash Lights, Vent Control Handle Lights, as well as the Cig Lighter. Everything works correctly! A new dash cluster was installed to insure all gauges and speedometer worked perfectly! A new am/fm stereo with Bluetooth "Hands free phone" capabilities was also installed in dash. New speaker pod with speakers were installed on hump below dash facing forward so you can actually hear stereo with the top off, driving the roadways. New rubber floor shift boots and plate installed, as well as, new matching shift knobs. The 40 year old Original floor console was refinished and reinstalled. There are No cracks in the original Jeep console even 40 years later. New lower edge of body to window rubber installed after repaint. New marker lights and fender flair's were also installed. So everything inside and outside look's outstanding! Please SEE the PHOTOS. Now for the best part. The original 304 V8 was replaced with a bigger and better AMC V8 - 360 motor under the hood. Motor was fitted with 4 bbl carb, and a New electronic ignition distributor with no points. Plus Headers and side dual exhaust, New aluminum radiator for better cooling, New high amp charging system and wiring. The AMC 360 is backed by a Jeep manual transmission that shifts and down shifts outstanding, and All New Clutch parts were installed. The Front and Rear end are reliable Jeep Dana. New Warn Locking Hubs on front drive, and the Transfer Case is also Jeep Dana 20. All the 4 Wheel drive parts are in great working order. This Jeep is also fitted with Power Steering and it drives really nice with No Free Play in the steering or lane drifting. The Jeep also fitted with Power Brakes so it stops on a dime! I installed new front brakes in the last 30 days. Jeep also fitted with front sway bar so it handles very nice, and it's a true joy to drive! It has a mild 2 inch suspension lift, with absolutely no tire or fender rub, and it has New Shocks and New Bushings. AND NO LEAKS under this Jeep! So in summary, this classic vintage Jeep look's outstanding inside and out and it run's and drive's outstanding! This Jeep is a true 40 year old classic and will only go up in value if t's kept nice. Jeep also has a 3 month old, High End BESTOP / SUPER TOP with Full Doors, so it can be driven in the cold winter months or year round. The Bestop / Super top is the best soft top on the market and will carry a snow load if needed. The soft top rail system of the top fit's like a glove and does not leak, so no water leaks in top! The Jeep has lived its' FULL 40 years in DRY Rust Free Arizona and is currently garaged for the past 60 days in NY, if buyer thinks they would like to inspect it in person. This is a very nicely restored Jeep CJ and people will stop you on the street for a closer look. The first real Jeep buyer who see's this Classic V8 CJ in person and drives it "WILL BUY IT".
