THIS IS A FLOOD CAR. Remember Hurricane Sandy in 2012? However, this car can be a great car. I bought it as a project car and other things have taken precedence. The engine turns over but I have not gotten it to start. (it has been close to starting) Sounds like a bearing problem when it is spinning. I would count on it needing a new engine. Since it hasn't been operational since I have had it, I have no idea about the transmission. I have no reason to believe it is bad but I don't know. There is no visible water damage on the interior. There is no odor. As you would expect, the electrical components are the challenge. But, it has not been that big of a deal. Currently, the radio does not work, the drivers side window needs a regulator. The back windows do not operate and I have not traced that problem. The trunk release on the driver door does not work. The electric seats are not working. Other than the driver's window regulator, I have not traced the other issues. The gas tank has a gash in it - looks like it was damaged when being towed. The ECM tests good and I have replaced the BCM. All the dash board lights come on when the key is turned on. (I have two keys). The body and paint are excellent. One small dent on driver's side rear door but that is all. Very good Michelin tires and the wheels are good. The interior is good. There are 4 different stains on the leather seats (see pics) that don't have anything to do with water damage - looks like oil. In any case, those spots can be dyed. The mileage is correct. The ECM shows it at around 31,000. The 2012 inspection sticker from the summer before Hurricane Sandy shows just over 29,000. Someone with some know-how and patience can have a nice car or fix it and flip it and make some $. Thanks for looking. I will deliver within 200 miles for a negotiated fee.
