Vehicle Detail

You are invited to bid on this unrestored 1970 Triumph TR6R Tiger model with matching numbers and a clear title in my name. I can't call the bike "'original" because of the cosmetic changes I made to it that include a 1970 Trophy-model, slimline tank (in original factory paint) and factory stainless fenders. The tank and fenders that came off the bike (still in original paint) are shown and will be included ONLY for the Buy-it-Now price. The paint on the extra set has suffered from years of exposure and the only notable physical damage is a crack at the forward edge of the rear fender (visible in the image) otherwise there are no structural issues, dents, etc. no matter how they appear in my photo. The original motor was rebuilt by the Triumph experts at Deer Park Cycle three years ago and has had absolutely no issues since. The bike has been kept in a heated garage during my ownership... it starts easily, runs well and is OIL TIGHT ... and sounds as sweet as it looks! The only mechanical bothers are a missing key for the steering lock, a tachometer needle that quivers and a weak return spring on the center stand - a factory-made spring (not Emgo) will come with the bike. Other than that, there are no surprises, no dents and everything works as it should including the electrics. The factory seat has one small nick in the upholstery on the left side toward the rear, but it does not penetrate through and is hard to notice. In any event, it's not something that bothered me but would be an easy cosmetic fix if it bothers you. The seat pan is rust-free and the tires are sound. If I can think of anything else that needs to be addressed, I will add it to the listing. This is not a concours machine but a solid, weekend rider. Please look at the photos carefully, enlarge them if you can - my photos make the motorcycle look better than it is. If you're unsure about anything, on the bike or the terms of the auction, please ask questions BEFORE bidding. This motorcycle is being offered as-is with no warranty expressed or implied. I have only a modest reserve that is below the Buy-it-Now figure. Please bid only if you have the intent, resources and permission from your wife to follow through! Ebayers with a low feedback number should contact us prior to bidding. The purchaser agrees to send a $500 deposit through Paypal within 48-hours of the listing's close. The balance is to be paid by check, draft or money order within 7-days of the listing's close. Please note that all drafts or money orders must be treated as a check and will require 10 business days to clear before the bike can be released. I am offering no shipping; the purchaser must make all arrangements for the bike's collection - I will do everything I can to work with you. It is located in Baltimore, Maryland.
