Up for sale is my 1953 Corvette replica XC-53 built by Classic Sports Cars of Holly Hill,Florida back in 1989. It is titled as a 1953 Corvette so it can be registered as an antique. It rolls on 18" Rocket Booster wheels with nitrogen filled 225/45ZR/18 Toyo Proxes tires and for stopping power, it has C5 Corvette 4 wheel power disc brakes and spindles with bearing assemblies.All brake hoses have been replaced with DOT approved braided steel lines. For the frame and suspension, it rides on a ladder style frame constructed from 3"x 4" channel steel with an X-member for added rigidity and pre '74 Nova front and rear suspension,a 10 bolt rear with multi- leaf rear suspension.This car rides and drives like a new car instead of an original. The car is powered by a small block Chevy V8 with an Edelbrock manifold and a Street Demon carburetor backed by a turbo 350 transmission with an aluminium trans pan and mild shift kit. The interior is in very good shape with no rips or tears. It also has power steering, tilt steering column with billet stalks,billet steering wheel and full VDO gauges. Outside is red, there are some chips and light cracks in the paint but is in overall excellent condition for being painted over 20 years ago. The features include,high torque mini starter, billet HEI performance ignition with a Mallory "corrected" cap so the high energy wires lay properly, a 100 amp, 1 wire alternator and performance fuel pump with AN fittings.The car has a tan top with zip in side curtains (in the picture,you'll notice wrinkles,that's because this is only the second time I have put the top up since I've owned it).I removed the heater because this was a summer car for my wife and I and I wanted a cleaner looking engine compartment(no heater hoses) but the heater I removed will be included with the car.You'll also notice there are no windshield wipers but the car does have working 2 speed wipers and factory stainless wiper arms and NOS blades are also included.I replaced the windshield with a custom made fully tinted and unshaded glass from Classic Auto Glass and did not want any wiper tracks on the glass as I have never driven this car in the rain.Other touches include Lokar throttle and transmission kick down cables and brackets,a Hagen "Fatties" rear view convex mirror and a custom fit car cover.When GM introduced the Corvette concept at the Motorama show in New York in 1953,it was an instant hit and is still considered today to be one of the most beautiful automotive designs of all time! The car is a blast to drive and reliable to drive any distance with confidence! It draws a croud everywhere it goes and will truly put a smile on your face as soon as you get behind the wheel.
