Up for auction is this 1966 Shortbed Stepside C-10. It is fully bagged while still keeping an all original untouched body. The truck was a single family truck in which never left the city it was purchased from. This is a New Mexico truck that still shows the original Ed Blacks Chevrolet Albuquerque NM sticker on the tailgate. Built by Nicholas Hester. List of new parts and modifications. Suspension: 2.5" McGaughy's drop spindles Complete new disk brake conversion. New bearings and seals New Moog upper and lower ball joints Lower control arms are cupped 2" for bag to recess into Upper bag mounting plates New 8 piece weld in step notch New U-bolts Custom shortened and balanced drive shaft with new u-joints Airride 2 black 480c compressors 5 gallon tank 7 switch control box 8 electronic valves with 4-way set up (FBSS) 150/180psi pressure switch 4 exhaust slow down valves 2600 bags up front 2500 bags in the rear All brass push fittings 3/8 airline Motor/Transmission Truck is running the original 250 straight 6 running thru the manual 3 speed which has been relocated to the floor by original owner. Original copper radiator in nice shape. Exterior The body of the truck is all original with no signs of filler or bodywork ever being performed. The paint has a beautiful patina to it with some typical rust in the lower front fenders but otherwise solid. The bed floor was raised to clear notches with new slats painted black while the airride is tucked underneath in a nice showing sub-floor with easy access from tailgate. All glass is in nice shape. Lights are all working as they should. The tires are new Coker Classics with a 3" white wall New bow-tie caps Interior The interior is all original with the exception of the seat in which was re-foamed and upholstered with a two tone pattern. Interior lights including dome light, turn signals, horn, speedometer, gauges, windshield wipers, and the heater are all in working order as well. Fuel gauge has been intermittent. Emergency brakes are functional. It has a great look to it without the worry of getting scratched in a parking lot. It is not a restored vehicle but was rather built to preserve its original condition with an upgraded suspension and stance. Does have dents and scratches.
