Specifications: (THIS UNIT HAS ENGINE PROBLEMS AND IS NOT RUNNING PLEASE READ BELOW~) 2002 Ford Ranger Pickup, 2-Door Regular Cab, 2WD – 2 Wheel Drive, Single Wheel Front Axle, Single Wheel Rear Axle, Ford 3.0 Liter V6 Gas Engine, Automatic Transmission, Hydraulic Brakes, Manual Windows, Manual Locks, Air Conditioning, Heat, Vent, Stereo, Manual Vinyl Seat, Rubber Floor, Rear Ball/Pintle Trailer Hitch, Spare Tire, 112” Wheelbase, GVWR – 4,340#, GAWR Front – 2,200#, GAWR Rear – 2,550#, LT235/75R15 Tires, VIN: 1FTYR10U02PB41999, 64,313 Miles. Located in Mississippi, this pickup was owned since new by a local airport and was used around the airport by the maintenance crew until about 6 months ago when it was replaced with a new one because of age/replacement schedule, was not replaced because of the engine problem or any problems. We purchased the pickup directly from the airport agency along with some other items, not from a broker, dealer or auction, purchased it as a running and driving pickup. Several weeks ago we sent a crew to bring back the items purchased from the airport, drove some and hauled some, this one was driven because we were told by the airport that it was fine to drive and seemed okay. We drove the pickup from Jackson, MS to Lumberton, MS which is 115 miles, it traveled 110 miles with no problems or issues at all, didn’t run hot, didn’t do anything wrong, about 5 miles before arriving at our location it went dead at a stop sign and would not crank back, acted like it either didn’t have enough 12 volt battery power to crank, we towed it to the shop and placed a new battery in it with plans on cranking and checking alternator, it would not crank with a new battery, we made sure all cables to starter were good, checked fuses, etc. and then made the decision it had to be the starter, pulled starter off and replaced it with a new one, after replacing tried to crank and it would not turn over, checked cable, etc., put on rack and then found that the new starter is working, trying to turn engine over but engine will not turn over, we then tried to turn engine with a pipe wrench, pry bar in flywheel, etc. and it will not turn over! We let the truck sit for a couple of weeks and pulled back on rack just day before yesterday to attempt to crank again and same story, will not turn over. The employee driving the truck when it quit has been driving stuff back for us for a long time and is sure that it was not running hot, clattering, knocking or doing anything wrong when it happen, another employee following at the time also verified when it quit it was not overheating, they checked oil, water, etc. and everything is and was good. A complete mystery, somebody that knows a good bit about these 3.0 liter v6 ford engines may know what happen or have heard of this??? We debated other options of repairing and checking out but just don’t have time right now and have more expensive items to get ready and deal with so decided to sell as it sits. The truck still has the airport stickers/decals on it, caution light on top, has a few small dings, dents and scratches around it but not bad at all, body/paint are not bad for age, driver’s seat vinyl is torn, drivers rubber floor is torn, stereo face panel is missing, tire condition is good and can be seen clearly in the photos, other than that what you see is what you get. You are buying the pickup to match the photos and videos of this listing, to not crank or run at this time, was recently in last few weeks running and roadworthy but not now, it does have a clean, clear transferrable one owner title, otherwise as-is!
