For sale is a 1988 Honda CRX SI. This is a California car with no rust. I purchased this car new at the dealer in Petaluma Ca. 1988 is unique lighter than subsequent years. In 1992 I purchased a spare motor imported from Japan with very few miles on it (Listing mileage reflects original engine) . I had the spare in the garage until a few weeks ago when I had it professionally installed by Capricorn Motors in Healdsburg. It has new motor mounts, timing belt, water pump, and clutch less than 200 miles ago. The suspension was changed a few years ago with H&R springs and adjustable KYB shocks. The radiator is a all metal dual core. The engine is a 16 valve SOHC. The body had no dings until this year a very minor one over the rear wheel well The car has never been in a wreck, not even a fender bender The body is extremely straight. The car was always garaged until about ten years ago so the clear coat is going. The car runs as it did 27 years ago only stronger. The original engine is available as well. It overheated and we did not check to see if it was bad so it may very well still be good. New Seats recently installed. Includes rear hatch cover. Everything works great but the radio. Tires are Falken azenas with some life left. I was 40 when I bought the car so it has been responsibly cared for its whole life. I still love the car but I feel I am getting too old for it. Update for those that are curious. The original engine, which you can have if you want, is a D16A6. The replacement engine is a ZC engine from Japan. We believe the replacement engine is a 1990 model but because it was bought in 1992, all records were lost. What is clear is the new engine is more powerful than the original. When purchased is was guaranteed to have less than 40K miles on it. Less than 500 miles have been put on it since installation.
