Selling my 2003 Montero Sport XLS with 248,000 miles. Runs and drives excellent, with plenty of life left--these things last forever. Has AWD and 4WD, and to my knowledge it's very uncommon (but desirable) to have both drivetrain features available. Has a high quality aftermarket stereo system and receiver installed--really clear dynamic sound! Sunroof/moonroof is fully functional. All electronics work. Much like other Japanese vehicles, the engineering on this SUV is practical, durable, and long lasting.  Exterior is VERY clean with minimal scratches and one dent on the passenger front fender. Interior is tan leather and very clean (only noticeable wear is on driver's seat and steering wheel). Undercarriage is rust-free and was recently recoated.  Maintained faithfully with oil changed every 3,000 miles. Recently had new spark plugs and top end work done. I also have some paperwork from the previous owner that shows $4,000+ of work done to it a few years ago. Front tires are close to new, the rear however need to be replaced soon. Note: the 4WD/AWD shifter is a little stubborn sometimes and wants to stay in 4H. The shop said the shifter linkages under the console just need to be realigned (a fairly simple fix), but the drivetrain still works just fine. This Montero has been a fun ride and has never let me down. Good on gas, rides smooth, has a good amount of power, and looks awesome. It's GREAT in the snow, mud, and on the road.
