Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1998 Toyota Tacoma SR5 extra cab 4x4 with 107,980 miles. This is the bullet proof 2.7L with 5 speed. The vehicle drives incredible and has been well taken care of. I really hate to sell my Tacoma as it has been a pleasure to drive. I loved it so much I purchased a 1999 Tacoma TRD with 50k miles. I kept both trucks, but have since purchased a Wrangler so I'm selling this Tacoma. All fluids were changed at 102,000 miles (front and rear differentials, transfer case, manual gear box). New plugs and plug wires. Runs and drives great - I wouldn't hesitate to drive across country tomorrow. No issues to report mechanically. The 2.7L with 5 speed is the best combo if you ask me. This Tacoma passed emissions testing with flying colors. Tires have good tread remaining. The new owner can get in a enjoy this vehicle from day one without spending money and have a truck with tons of miles left to enjoy. Burns no oil, runs cool and air blows cold. 4x4 got me to work in heavy snow last month - works excellent. Shifts through all gears great - strong clutch. I drive this vehicle daily on the interstate to work - 75MPH with no issues and it drives great. FRAME IS SOLID, SOLID, SOLID. No frame issues with rust like many of the Tacomas out there. This is a true survivor. The exterior is clean and shows well for a 18 year old vehicle. The paint is glossy, but there are scratches and dings present - nothing major for the year and miles, just not perfect paint. Again, it shows well and look great for the year. I would rate the exterior a 6.5 out of 10 with 10 being show room. I'm a very picky person. The interior is very clean. Some stains on the drivers side carpet, but overall clean carpet. Great looking seats - seats in this condition are hard to find. I would rate the interior a 8 out of 10. About the rebuilt title: this vehicle did have light damage to the front end - the right fender, hood and bumper were replaced. All other body panels are factory. Damage was not sever and no bags deployed. Repairs were professional completed and there are no issues whatsoever related to the repairs. Title in hand and treated like a clean title. Good luck bidding. I will let this one go to the highest bidder and they will be getting a great truck that can be enjoyed for many, many more years. For the price the winner will pay, you won't find a nicer truck that will last the miles this one has left in it. Fly in to Nashville and drive this one home. Ron
