Here is a Unicorn made even more rare by the fact that it's been converted to a Diesel drivetrain. The Isuzu Trooper RS is one of the rarest SUVs on the market. This one is even better. In 2007 in Nevada this was issued a rebuilt title. Some research reveals that there has been no major body work or paint work done from accident damage. It seems also that this was when this vehicle no longer was required to have emissions tests and inspection done, so the implication is that the Diesel engine conversion must have necessitated a rebuilt title in NV. At any rate, the truck rides and drives straight, smooth, and great. The diesel engine conversion was very well done with a marine 2 micron fuel filter system and a diesel cold start starter fluid injection line plumbed in. The glow plug circuit is very neat as well-as there is a two way toggle switch to the right of the steering column that allows the driver to switch back and forth between the cold start injection and the glow plugs with the ability to apply power to either for as long as the driver requires. There are a couple of spots of corrosion on the vehicle as displayed int the photos. And we are working on finding a new driver's door window regulator as the one in the truck currently has some issues with getting stuck-requiring a little manual assist to get the window up all the way. Otherwise the truck runs and looks great, and with the 5 speed manual transmission cruises at highway speeds. The paint looks clean. The front bumper has been repainted and the rear bumper is missing an end cap on the inside right side with a little surface rust on a scuffed spot. This is easily fixable with some touch up paint, and bumper caps are readily available. The one special thing about this truck though is how often do you get the opportunity to purchase an '89 Isuzu Trooper RS with a diesel engine and minimal amounts of rust? This truck is very special. The interior looks great with just a small spot of wear on the driver's seat bottom upholstery. This vehicle is for sale locally and we reserve the right to sell it locally and end the eBay listing.
