Vehicle Detail
1965 Plymouth Satellite Convertible. Classic MOPAR big block convertible. Very rare, one of only 1860 built. Originally a 361 big block, now powered by a professionally rebuilt 413 putting out approximately 350 horsepower! Ignition converted to MOPAR electronic ignition with new orange box and wire harness. Runs and drives excellent, loads of power with sporty console mounted tachometer and floor shifted rebuilt torque flight automatic transmission, 8 3/4 rear and power drum brakes. Originally white with gold interior, now MOPAR Rallye Red painted two years ago with new Legendary black interior, carpet and new rear interior panels. This is a very original car with all of its original trim and vintage spinner hubcaps in very good condition. Body was very straight and solid before repaint, requiring only new lower quarters and wheel well lips. These parts were purchased from Kramer's Automotive early B-body specialists, and were professionally installed. Original floors, frame, firewall, convertible drip rails and trunk are very solid, factory undercoat underneath. Both front and rear bumpers have been re-chromed and look great. New tinted front windshield, seal and trunk weather-strip. Nice dash, grill, headlight buckets and stainless trim. Top and rear window approximately ten years old are in good condition, hydraulics work great. Comes with complete spare and original jack setup. Original top boot in good shape stored in trunk. Fender tag is present. What the cars still needs: Original radio lights up but does not work, was told it needs a diode. Have three of the wheel well moldings in very good condition, right rear wheel molding provided but is dented needs repair, so moldings not installed. Wipers work (new blades) but do not "park" must be stopped when in the lower position. Driver's door glass has typical regulator scratch running top to bottom. Tires look and ride good, but are older and should be replaced for high speed highway driving. Passenger side "Satellite" fender emblem is missing. Speedometer was working (currently reads 72,000 miles), recently stopped may need cable. "please note that this is not the same 65 satellite with a 361 advertised last week..." Smooth driving, top down MOPAR big block cruiser, very fun to drive!
