This car is as clean a Phaeton as you're going to find. I purchased it for parts, sight unseen, and when it arrived I was shocked at the condition. Allstate totaled the car because the transmission had gone bad so that's the reason why I bought it. I had the transmission rebuilt and installed. Please read up on VW forums. Every part on this car either moves, blinks, is heated or has a computer that controls or measures something. If you do not know how to keep the battery on trickle charge while you're not driving it.....it's a good idea. IF you're looking for a daily driver to just put gas in and drive the crap out of it....this is not the car for you unless you're well funded and your mechanic is your best friend. Update: I have 4400$ just in the transmission replacement. Please serious bids only!!!!!!!!!!! I am warrantying this car for 90 days. Both batteries were just replaced, the car was inspected by a VW shop of my choice. Over heating, connecting jumper cables backwards ect ect....you know...stupid stuff....voids the warranty. I will deliver this car up to, El Paso, Denver, Kansas City , Littlerock, Jackson MS and New Orleans for free ON THE FIRST CLEAR WEATHER WEEK-END THAT I CAN FLY THE DRIVER BACK MYSELF. Draw a line from each city on the map, that's the size of the arc I'm willing to deliver to. If you buy the car say...on friday.....and it's raining or low clouds either here or at you're location, you'll either have to wait until it clears up or come get it yourself.
