Vehicle Detail
1967 Ford Anglia Estate Deluxe. I imported this car from England five years ago, Titled in CA current reg, smog exempt. Former retro ford magazine feature car with several performance upgrades. "Poor man's BDA" Toyota 4AGE 16 valve, Yamaha R1 bike carbs, custom fab intake, megajolt mappable ignition,MK2 Escort rubber engine mounting blocks, Ford Sierra Type 9 5spd gearbox with Fensport aluminum bellhousing conversion kit. Burton power hydraulic clutch(self adjusting) MK1 Cortina crossmember with custom fab gearbox mounting. MK2 Cortina 3.9 diff,MK3 Fiesta solid front discs,Peugeot 106 GTI rears with Ferrodo DS pads. Milton race prep(Anglia suspension guru's) steering rack conversion,crossmember/subframe, Milton modified Anglia track control arms, modified MK2 Cortina 1600E struts with 170lb springs, steel eccentric adjustable top mounts for caster/camber,Cortina M16 ft calipers, girling remote brake and bore compsport remote clutch reservoirs. All MK2 Cortina GT/1600E Instruments with the exeption of custom made instrument pod. Car was restored ten years ago and is in good driver quality condition. Could use front seat covers and carpet kit. Original 67 Estate deluxe with it's 48 year old license plates, and selling dealers decal on rear hatch.Lots of documentation, old MOT stickers, registrations, photo album of restoration. Car is a kick in the pants to drive, supple suspension very neutral handling and plenty of zip. Nice stance and looks great with the Panasport ultralights. Clear title in my name, inspections welcome, will assist with shipping. last year for the Anglia, never seen another Estate this side of the pond, let alone like this one. Thanks On Feb-13-16 at 21:47:54 PST, seller added the following information: Addl pics added, to answer a few questions- Motor is stock, whatever an 88 MR2 motor is rated at probably 150 ish. Slight surface bubbles on lower fender, floorpans and trunk are dry (see new pics) It's an older restoration, driver quality works better on Mulholland Highway than as a lawn ornament(but it does get thumbs up every time out) Lots of work went in to the build- these are the culture cars that are being built in England last few years, retro Fords with TC transplants and Milton suspension. Very difficult getting this car over here, and through customs. Everything works, lights, turns, horn etc. Big rad and remote cooling fan runs fine in So Cal 100 + degree weather. New clutch PP/TO bearing 100 miles ago. As cliche as it is you couldn't build this car for the reserve, if you could find one.
