Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE I purchased a new 2015 Rubicon the end of last year and the wife says one of the Jeeps has to go, so up for sale is my 1981 CJ7. In 2007 I purchased this vehicle in 2007 as a tow vehicle for my Motor home. In 2008 we did a frame off complete restoration. When I say we I mean a master mechanic who’s full time job is to train mechanics. Stripped everything down and refinished all of the frame and support components. Rebuilt and reinstalled the small block 350 and three speed manual transmission. We reinstalled the fiberglass body, that will never rust on to all redone or replaced components. Installed a 4” Rough Country Lift Kit and (5) Pro Comp 35” all terrain tires and rims. A custom rear bumper with a heavy gauge spare tire carrier along with a Smittybilt modified front bumper which boasts a 12,000 lb winch! That’s right 12,000 lbs there is not a situation that you can’t get out of with this piece of equipment. This Jeep comes with a tow bar and is set up to tow. This jeep is heated garage kept and never went out into the winter up until the last three years. It is starting to redevelop some rust and wear and tear from what was a pristine condition vehicle. The fuel gauge is also intermittent. I would call it good condition and with the right owner could be back in pristine in very little time. She has sat in my heated garage all winter and hasn’t moved, it is time for her to find someone who will appreciate her. My reserve is $10,000.00 dollars. The Jeep is in Channahon, Illinois and please feel free to come and inspect the vehicle prior to auctions end or email with any questions. Vehicle is being sold “as is” and at the close of the auction the winning bidder shall via PayPal make a $500.00 deposit within 24 hours. The full amount of the purchase will be due either by certified, verified or Cash funds at or before the transfer of title and vehicle. Arrangements to pick up the Jeep shall be made within 10 days of auction close. Good Luck she is a head turner. On Feb-01-16 at 19:38:18 PST, seller added the following information: There is a small crack in the fiberglass behind the right front tire in the seam between the quarter panel and the body panel near the bottom. I forgot that it was there.
