Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my head-turning 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon with manual transmission. It runs great and has had the following done to it:K&N Performance Air Intake installedBrand new hard top from Rayllytops installed. It has sliding rear windows and sunroof.Headlamps calibrated and adjusted.New transmission installed - this is a very nice upgrade.New oil change and oil filter installed. Royal Purple was used.New windshield wipers installed.California smog check passed with flying colors.New brakes installed.Upgraded radiator installed.Overall tune-up done.Paint professionally restored. All of the above was done in the last few months and are things the new seller won't have to do. They are very nice additions/upgrades that cost about $10,000 and were professionally done by different specialized shops in the Orange County, CA area, As for the car's history, I bought it in Michigan a year ago with a salvage title and took it to California where it is now registered and has a CA salvage title. I have been using it daily since I purchased it and the car runs awesome. The 2005 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicons were known to be the best off-roading Wranglers ever made by Jeep and were only produced for a couple of years. As you can imagine, this is a rare and unique car that I wanted to use mainly for off-roading. However, I will soon be moving due to job reasons to another area where I won't be able to off-road it so that's why I am selling it. It makes me sad but I hope the Jeep finds a new owner that can use it for what it's meant to do. The additions of the Rubicon package to the base model (to my knowledge) are the following:Locking differentialsSubwooferBetter differentials and suspensionAlso, the following are things the new owner might want to do next to the Jeep:Install a center console - it doesn't have one because I didn't need one for my use of the car.Install rear seats - it doesn't have them because I valued space more than seats.Install new hood hinges - the current ones leave a small gap on the side of the hood, this is a small thing to do.Install new tires - the current ones are getting worn out. With the car I will also bundle fog lights that I was about to install but never had the time and a new shifter knob that I never installed. This will have to be installed by the new owner if that's his/her desire. Pick-up or shipping will the the buyer's responsibility. If the car is shipped via a 3rd party, it should be a reputable company with insurance. Note that I will still be driving the car while the auction is on so it will most likely have just a few more miles than advertised. Thanks for looking and good luck!On Jan-12-16 at 09:10:46 PST, seller added the following information: UPDATE: One potential buyer asked me to explain the extent of the damage. This is what I replied: I don't know more than what the report says about what happened when it was declared a total loss: COLLISION WITH A FIXED OBJECT (DITCH) (Case #:9096760)MINOR TO MODERATE DAMAGE REPORTED What I know about the damage is that the transmission had to be replaced with a new (rebuilt one) and the lower control arm brackets were replaced too among other smaller things. I have uploaded the mechanical repairs invoice so you can all see what has been done to the car to bring it to its current state. Also, worth noting is that the paint has been restored and the soft top the Jeep had could not be pulled down so it was removed and replaced with a new hard top from Rallytops (invoice in pictures too).
