I'm selling my beloved 1979 GMC C-25 In the 1980's my grandfather paid over $20k to have this Detroit Diesel 4-53 Turbocharged motor retrofitted to fit into this truck. It has a Clark 4 speed manual transmission. This truck is a blast to drive, it gets a lot of looks, people don't expect to hear a big bad Diesel engine coming from a pickup truck! It sounds like a bus! My grandpa used this truck to haul his 5th wheel touring across the country many years ago in the early 2000's, and he always kept up on maintenance! Grandpa hasn't been able to drive the truck for years now, I drive it occasionally, it is licensed until 12-2016. I enjoy driving the truck but the time has come where I now need to part with it and sell the GMC to someone who will appreciate it and fix the cosmetics and give it TLC. The truck runs and drives down the road great, brakes are strong, tires are BRAND NEW, less then 600 miles on them! The truck could use some updating if the new owner decides to do so, the paint is in fair shape but is definitely showing its age, the interior is also dated, as these modifications were made in the early 1980's I'm selling the truck as-is, I have a clear title in hand! Even if someone needs a good engine and is not looking for a truck, this would be a great buy, because you would not need to pay shipping, simply drive the truck to you location!
