This is a very presentable 1986 560SL Convertible/Hardtop. As the pictures reveal, the body is extremely straight with ZERO rust. The 5.6 Liter V-8 is very powerful and extremely reliable. These vehicles were built to exacting standards and the German craftsmanship is evident at every turn. There is some normal wear showing on the seat upholstery but still look very good for being nearly 30 years old. The paint and body show very few imperfections after 30 years. Everything works as it should: power windows, turn signals, lights, wipers, rear defroster, cigarette lighter, cruise control etc, with the exception of the window washer fluid pump which recently stopped working. The black soft top is newer and in excellent condition. I'm sorry to not have included a picture but I couldn't locate one and the hardtop is currently in place. I am only the third owner and the Mercedes spent the vast majority of its life in southern California and Nevada. This car has NOT experienced Minnesota winters and has had NO accidents as evidenced by the Carfax. I intended to keep this vehicle long term and have receipts to authenticate much recent maintenance. Done in 2015 -Entire fuel injection system rebuilt. All new injectors, lines, gaskets and Bosch fuel distributor rebuilt. Total=$2032 -Front upper left ball joint replaced. Total=$354 -Steering center link replaced. Total=$235 -Front end alignment. Total=$85 -Four new tires. Total=$421 Total 2015 maintenance=$3127 This vehicle was my "summer" car, only being driven 7 months out of the year. My winter vehicle was recently donated to charity because the needed repairs exceeded the value of the car. The Mercedes is not a suitable car to drive year round in Minnesota and I can no longer justify owning two vehicles so the Mercedes must go. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs.
