Up for your consideration this week is a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Yenko Tribute car. This is a X-44 car Norwood, California built car. Car has a 1967 Camaro SS big block 396 Casting # 3902406 and front engine code T11IIIV with matching Turbo 400 transmission and 10 bolt rear end. Intake manifold has the Winters correct water mark on this single opening manifold. 750 Holley which runs well sits on top. MSD distributor with new plugs and 8mm spark plug wires with protective heat sleeves to save from brand new big block headers. 2.5 inch new exhaust all the way out back and NEW Magna Flow Series 40 mufflers. Sounds raw but not dragster loud. New correct power steering pump and new hoses, new water pump, new alternator, heater core and the stock big block radiator has been hot tank then boiled and pressure tested. Car runs cool! The car was then gone over by an auto electrician and given a good once over. Everything works. Heater, wipers, lights of any kind and turn signals work as they should. Electrician informed me my steering column was toast so I bought a rebuilt 1969 stock steering column and it works great! The interior has been completely restored by Year One with a NEW black interior package. Seat skins front and back with factory correct grain. New rug, headliner, dash cap, dash pod that holds gauges is new. Door panels front and rear and package tray and sail panels as well are new. Car has correct horse shoe shifter and black center console. The windshield has been replaced and the car has a working cowl activated air intake that opens and closes electronically upon need. All emblems on car are new as well as door sills and outside door handles on both sides. Painted grill in front is new as well as front chin spoiler. Cowl hood is new as well as whole Cowl ram air set up. The car spent 2 month at Macco getting stripped, PPG DP-90. 5 coats of high build primer and block sanded. Any minor imprecations were addressed and fixed or welded. Then a Basecoat/Clearcoat was applied and baked in paint booth. Car has a smooth mirror deep shine with proper gaps and shows nicely. It's amazing the job Macco can do when you buy the whole crew lunch every Friday who worked on the car. All gaps between doors, hood and trunk have appropriate spacing. Both the engine compartment and trunk have had attention to detail to give a correct stock factory appearance and stance. 15 inch steel wheels and BFG tires keep this car grounded to the road. Year correct factory hubcaps gives that sleeper look to car. Updated master cylinder and brake booster helps better control stopping with improved safety. I have tried my best to describe this car as completely as possible to better insure ones purchase. The car is going on 46 years old and with any older car it will need maintainace. I check all fluids on a regular basis and changed all fluids on a regular basis.
