This is a 2000 BMW 740il that was well taken care of. Last year I had the engine rebuilt and early this year, when I will drive, it will sometime go into “Transfailsafe mode” or limping mode, the transmission. Then I will stop the engine, wait a few mins and start it again, and it will drive find for a couple of days or even months then do it again. Also the front right side(passenger side) needs a bearing /hub wheel change from what I was told. I did that, but the noise is still there and I also have a new hub and bearing for that, because I was going to do it again. Well, I got a job out of town and with 2 other cars, I have not driven this car as I am out of town. Drives, although you can still hear the noise from the bearing. I would hate for the car to continue sitting for a long time meanwhile someone can make use of it for parts or whatever. Pictures included…. I have good thread on all four tires, inside is clean and outside too. I was going to have the transmission looked at but just never came around to it.
