Vehicle Detail
This car started life as a 2008 GT that was purchased as a SEMA build by a now-defunct company. It got very few miles, but some questionable mods, and ultimately was rolled into a corner after they blew the engine and killed the body mods ahead of the show. The company folded and I bought the car off of CL from one of the founders. I intended to build it for CP autocross, but plans have changed. I still think it's an EXCELLENT foundation for that, as well as American Iron, Time Trial, drifting, etc. The details - it's a 2008, which is one of the better years for a race car foundation. 2007-2009 had a stiffer chassis than the earlier cars as reinforcements in preparation for the GT500 made their way to the whole line. This one is stiffer still due to the sub-frame connectors already installed. It was missing fascias, front sheetmetal, etc. when I bought it, so I went ahead and replaced that. I've removed most of the sins that were present on the rear bodywork. It is currently in SPI black epoxy primer for the doors, quarters, and trunk lid. It needs a bit more bodywork back there, but 90% is done and someone better than a hobbyist would be the right call to finish it. The fascias, hood, and roof are all OE black. Fenders are silver. Duh. As cool as the SPI primer looks, if I were keeping it, I'd just finish it all in that. More good - Given the car's past, it's got VERY few miles on it. My records show 763. Yes, less than 1,000 miles. It has no interior. It's a roller, though the suspension should be gone through. The front tie rods, control arms, rack, etc. are all original / low mileage. I found some suspect hardware on the front suspension from the previous owner though, so that needs to be addressed. Rear end is a high mile unit that should be gone through. It has no drive train, though I do have a low mileage 4.6 complete drive train available as well. Various other parts available to the buyer if wanted. Title is clean, but since the previous owner was a company that no longer exists, it will need to be bonded for 6 months. I never bothered to register it, because it was to be a racecar. Car is located in Braselton, GA. Delivery available for $2.00 / mile up to 300 miles. Vehicle is also for sale locally. Auction may be ended if local sale completes prior to auction.
