Using the GM 4L80-E automatic transmission, it was the fastest, most expensive, and most powerful Bentley of its day. The 6.75 L Garrett-Turbocharged engine was chosen for use in the Continental R. The 4 speed GM 4L80-E featured self-leveling hydraulic suspension, ventilated power front disc brakes with twin calipers and solid rear disc brakes. At its launch, the car boasted a top speed of 145 mph (223 km/h). This three owner, garage kept, accident free, low mile Texas/Nevada car is in excellent mechanical condition, with no rust. The Connolly parchment leather seats, headliner, door panels, arm rests, and dash are in perfect condition, with only the slightest of wear showing on the driver’s seat. The burled walnut dash, door trim, and center accents are high gloss with no chipping. The interior and trunk compartment carpeting are as-new. Included are the original books and tools.
