2001 MERCEDES-BENZ C240 This is a NO RESERVE auction, meaning that the highest bidder at the end of the auction wins, regardless of the final price! You are bidding on an extremely clean 2001 Mercedes-Benz C240. This car is loaded with options including power windows, power automatic door locks, power heated mirrors, power leather seats, power moonroof, power rear sunshade, power steering, cruise control, automatic climate control, CD changer, automatic headlights, driver and passenger front and side airbags, rear passenger side and head airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and traction control, 4-wheel Antilock (ABS) disc brakes, and automatic transmission with winter and summer modes and Tiptronic shift control. This C240 has always been regularly serviced and drives and operates just as it should. The engine is smooth and quiet and produces plenty of power while still obtaining great fuel economy. The ABS disc brakes grip nicely and can safely bring the car down from speed. The five-speed automatic transmission shifts crisply into each gear and shows no sign of wear. All of the tires are in excellent shape with plenty of tread remaining, allowing for a perfectly smooth and straight ride. All of the power equipment inside of the car is working correctly without exception. This C240 has very low miles and has always been very well maintained. As with any pre-owned car however, there is some expected age-related wear, such as areas where the paint has faded, chips, etc. There are small areas in some of the lower sections of the doors where the paint is beginning to bubble, but this is very little compared to other Mercedes’ of similar age. The ESP light will occasionally illuminate, which I was told is sensor-related and an easy fix. The only remaining item that I can fault on this car is the interior fan motor for the heating/air conditioning, which will make a ticking sound upon start-up, but this quickly goes away after a minute or two. This car was involved in a previous light accident, where the front fender and hood was damaged. There was no frame damage and none of the airbags deployed. However, as a result, the car now carries a “rebuilt” title. Overall, as described above, this is a very well maintained and clean C240 with very low miles that will provide many years of safe, reliable transportation.
