Vehicle Detail
Well, well, well...I never thought I'd be selling my personal fun convertible but my wife surprised me last week with an Audi A8L. Yes, you read that correctly, she bought a co-worker's A8L and called me up and said "Honey, I've got a surprise for you"! And since I don't have the need for two vehicles, my awesome PT convertible needs to be sold immediately. It's just as simple and straight forward as that. And I can say with utmost confidence, you won't find any nicer, cleaner, stronger running, flawless exterior or interior in a 2005 PT Cruiser than mine. It's a used car but to use the term "used" does this convertible an injustice. It's the best "used" car you'll ever see, I can assure you of that. If you win this auction and don't want to buy it after seeing it...just walk away. That's how confident I am of every description I make concerning this gem. This is going to be short and sweet, folks, because there is nothing bad to talk about with this car. It looks and runs like a new car off the showroom floor. It's not new, it's a 2005 and most ebay sellers would then state "don't expect a new car, it's got dings, highway scratches, blah, blah, blah". That's what most people then state. I'm not going there. In fact, I want you to FIND a flaw on this car and bring it up. It isn't perfect, that I guarantee...but it scores a 9.5 out of 10 all day every day, and probably a 9.75 out of 10! You have to look very hard and long to find fault with this convertible. The headlights are a little foggy, you know how they get over time. They could use that clear lens cleaner you see advertised but that's about all I can find that needs attention. I'm sure there are some itty bitty nicks here and there...put your reading glasses on to find 'em. I've had people say to me that they cannot believe this convertible top to be original. It is. I store inside and clean it off regularly. That's why it looks like a new top. The body of the car looks positively amazing. The car runs and drives tight and true and strong...yes...like a new car. You'll zip in and out of lanes with no effort. But it isn't a new car I promise you! Strong 2.4L turbo engine makes driving a funtastic experience. I love this car and if my wife didn't trump it with a $90,000 Audi, I'd keep it and never think of selling. In fact, if I had a 3-car garage, I would never let it go because I could never find better for the price you'll end up paying! You do not find cars like this too many places. Been pampered since day one, and it shows. This PT is like a beautiful woman who hasn't dated much. If you find her first, never let her go, you lucky dog! Beautiful gold exterior with black interior, black top, chrome original factory rims, good tires, I can't think of a single bad thing to bring up. Turn the key, drive to Alaska if you want, with confidence. I would drive to New York for a Mets/Royals game and back if I to and not think twice about it. Regular service, goes without saying. If it needs a part, I replace with original Chrysler part, not cheapie part from Korea. It has the Monsoon stereo with CD, but that's hardly been used because I keep it on sports talk radio most of the time. Touring edition is the package on this convertible, with armrests, nice feature for longer trips. Mileage you ask? How about 105K+ miles! For a 2005! No, not kidding...that's about 10K miles give or take per year. I drive this around on weekends but during the week, I drive one mile to my commercial work truck stored in a heated cave, park the PT, drive the commercial truck all day, come home and drive the PT one mile home and park in the garage. It might have a few more miles by the time auction ends, but not much more. Weather's been nice here in KC. Bottom line on this sale: I want a serious buyer who values condition above all else. If you just want a cheap PT to get from point A to point B, please...those are everywhere. This is for the person who loves the PT style, the design, wants a convertible, wants no problems, wants to be impressed and to impress others. And...wants the best. This PT convertible will satisfy that type of buyer. I'm not going to sell this premium condition convertible for fraternity guy junker money, just being honest with you all. Everybody please note that and respect my wish. If you are of the mindset that you want the best for the least or read in some book that if you lowball everybody, eventually you'll find a car of this quality. No, you won't. They said that to sell a book, you won't be able to buy this treasure for beater money. Condition of your car means everything when reselling...everything. If it didn't, why take special care of anything you own if all you get on return is nominal reward? Superior condition in every category is what I am selling here. If you want to jump ahead of the pack and contact me about buying immediately, feel free. I'll listen. I'll sell to first healthy cash bid I see that convinces me you are serious, won't hold the car, won't finance the car, won't accept trades for the car...cash sale does the talking that I listen to. I'm impressing you with my near perfect convertible, now it's your time to impress me with your serious desire to own something special that you will enjoy for years, decades from now. Bid strong, bid worth, bid to win it because you'll never find another like it. If it's not exactly as described when you get here...just walk away from the sale. Not too many sellers would state that sentence with 100% confidence! I will and do. Good luck bidding and somebody out there is going to hit the jackpot of PT Cruiser Convertibles in seven days time! PT Cruiser Convertible is sold "as is/where is" from Kansas City, MO and there are no guarantees or warranties stated or implied. I am a private seller so I cannot warranty or guarantee a used vehicle, no private owner can. If you cannot accept this premise, please, go buy from a dealer. My feedback should tell you all you need to know about my honesty. You are buying the car as it is, running perfectly in my possession right now as I type this listing. I drive it daily. Pickup of vehicle is sole responsibility of winning bidder. Once vehicle is paid for in full, pickup can be arranged. No exceptions, paid for in full with cash or money transfer, no cashier's checks or PayPal or money orders. I need the car paid for within 3 days after winning auction, no exceptions, or I go to next in line bidder. No time for games or indecision, only bid on the car if you have the money ready to go. No feedback or negative feedback buyers are not allowed and I will zap your bid off the map. Don't have time for timewasters or tirekickers. I want good, honest American ebay bidders with a track record at my sales. I'm selling a quality convertible, I want a quality buyer, don't think that's asking for too much. If picking up in person, bring cash or have your money bank transfer already settled by my Policeman's Credit Union. Do not show up with cashier's check in hand and expect title and car to leave my possession, ain't gonna happen. Funds must be "settled" by my financial institution and given green light by bank management to turn over title and keys and ownership. Cash does that on the spot. You lay the money down, you get everything and away you go. All expenses to get to KC and return home are your responsibility. Title is clear and in hand, no liens, no funny business, my wife and myself are on title. The people on the title are the ones you'll be buying from and see in person. We are upscale owners who live in an upscale part of Kansas City, I being a well-known city landscape company owner and my wife an even more well-known mortgage top sales person on the radio, tv, and print. Just the type people you want to buy from...owners who have the means to buy the best and maintain it the way it should be maintained. That translates to you buying a wonderful car on the resale. If you have any questions at all about anything, details I might have missed, want to shoot an offer, whatever...call me with those concerns at 816-590-8010, Aaron. On Dec-14-15 at 12:38:27 PST, seller added the following information: UPDATE 12/14: We've got about a full day left to go on the sale. This will be the only time to buy the car this winter, so be sure if you that have shown interest, you bid this time around. I will store until spring 2016 if price is not met this sale duration. It's really a gem and will sell for more money in the spring when everyone is in a convertible buying mood. My reserve will be higher in March 2016 than it is now. Just letting you all know, all you many watchers and bidders that if you want a convertible of this caliber, you need to bid to win it. My reserve is quite reasonable and in tune with it being winter. I will not let it go for beater price or lowball special, so if you are looking to find a lottery ticket win here, I'm sorry, but this vehicle demands the best buyer and owner to match the quality you receive. Lots of bids right now at $1800+ but nowhere close to buying price. Let's get serious, let's find a buyer who wants something to be proud of...not just the cheapest he can find from a desperate seller. I'm the opposite of desperate, and you want to buy from a financially sound seller owner like myself, right? Yes. Get those bids up there, folks.
