Description : Garage Kept. 2004 Mercedes Benz 500 SL Convertible 19,000 Miles - 1 Owner Never been crashed, all original paint!! Minor water damage. This vehicle is by far one of the nicest and cleanest 04' Mercedes Benz SL 500's on the market with just 19,000 miles.! This car smells like brand new, the interior is like "Brand New" The leather and the wood paneling are in great condition. This is a 1 owner car according to the car fax, it's been garage kept and we can easily tell according to the condition of this car. The paint and body of this car are near flawless, the paint is the original and it's in excellent condition. We hired a specialist in Mercedes Benz to come and inspect the car and this way we can give you an idea of the things that need to be fixed. The Technician said the car was in good conditions and that he believes someone intentionally wetted a few things on this car just to have the insurance pay for the car. " This is just the technicians personal opinion" We believe the same thing just because the car does not show any water damage anywhere .. The convertible top is not coming down because the air box located in the trunk compartment appeared to have been wet at some point. That part needs replacement. You can buy them used or rebuilt on E bay. The radio turns on but the amplifier needs replacement, we have an amplifier that will go with the car but will need to be connected. The A/C worked perfect however when you turn it on the blower is not coming on. Just a few days ago the A/C was freezing cold. If you open the hood you can touch the A/C line and it's freezing cold which means that it should be a relay or a fuse or something simple. When we purchased this vehicle up on the arrival to our location the car started right up and I personally drove the car around for a few minutes and it ran perfect with no issues, motor and transmission felt like new, however our Mercedes Benz Specialist says that the transmission is on limp mode and needs a tune up which is very common with these cars This car has not been driven since 2012 so it will need all fluids changed and a full transmission service which will include the oil filter and electronic plate which all parts you can buy on E bay. "Note" "The transmission is good but will need to be tuned" If you are a mechanic you can fix this car very easily or if you have someone you know then you can also fix the car for a lower cost. We sell our units AS IS we get them checked by professional mechanics and we sell them that way, all we do is clean and detail our vehicles. This car is beautiful and nobody can take away the fact that it is a 1 Owner car with no accidents, all original factory paint and yes only " 19,000 Original Miles which is probably the lowest mile 04' SL Mercedes Benz on the Market.
