Vehicle Detail
This is a 1998 Chevy Silverado pickup that I purchased for my 16-year old son a couple years ago. As you can see from the photos, he performed quite a number on it when runnimg into a suddenly-parked-on-the-40 mph-two-lane-road jacked-up F-350. Of course, this happened right after I had the battery, alternator, serpentine belt and fuel pump replaced. I also put on new tires about 1200 miles before the accident. I also have an extra new battery (that's another story altogether). This truck was in really fine condition when I purchased it with 88K miles on it from an elderly family friend who owned it since new. It was well taken care of; no rust or surprises. It had the brakes replaced at 95K. The truck has 107,900 miles on it, which is pretty low for a truck of this age. It's a standard cab, short bed. It has rear-wheel drive and has the bulletproof V6. It has AC, power windows...all the stuff in the standard Silverado package. This was such a good-running truck...It was getting 20-plus MPH around town. From what I can tell, this truck needs a whole front clip, radiator, airbags (if desired) and a windshield. The frame was not damaged. The interior bits that were damaged during the air-bag deploying operation will also need replacing, if you wish. NOTE: The windshield was not damaged in the crash. It was damaged prior to the accident by my son's girlfriend when she threw her cell phone at my son immediately after he informed her that she was no longer worthy of girlfriend status. This was (and still can be) a really nice vehicle. It has been kept at my business location for the past 8 months or so, with the intent of fixing it myself at my leisure. During this time I have found that I don't have the excess leisure time available to properly fix this truck. It was such a great truck and it has so much potential that would be a shame to just send off to the junk yard, so I'm offering it to someone who wants a good canvas to start on a new project. This will of course be sold AS-IS, with the buyer taking responsibility of taking it away to it's new home.On Nov-22-15 at 03:58:22 PST, seller added the following information: Please note!!! The actual mileage on this truck is 109270, not 107900. My intent was not to deceive, and I apologize for the error.
