Vehicle Detail

******PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE BIDDING****** Up for auction is this very cool Plymouth Custom Suburban 6-pass. station wagon from 1959. Description: BODY: Some dings/scrapes in some places. Left rear rocker has a small rust bubble area. Mid-rockers have a few small holes. Front fenders are rotted out above headlights for about 4", but I have 2 replacement rust-free fenders that are included. Left half of grill is bent, but I have an entire replacement grill w/ emblem, that is included. Lower valance (highly sought after piece!)is dented, but not rusty. Hood has been replaced. ALL of the trim is on the car - nothing missing - not even the gold V on tailgate. Crank operated tailgate window works great. I have another rear bumper that has factory back-up lights, if you want to switch to it. All the glass is good; one small chip on lower left of windshield is only flaw. All doors open & close great! INTERIOR: Front seat is almost bare springs, rear seat is still intact, but brittle. It folds up perfectly for storage in back. There are some rust holes floors on pass. side front, & both rear ones, but no rust in storage compartment under deck, or under seats...just where you place your feet. Headliner panels are still intact, but s2 sections are sagging from bows. They could carefully be put back in place. Padded dash has some cracks. Original door panels or OK. Note DELUXE steering wheel! Chrome is excellent. DRIVETRAIN: Engine is a 318 w/2bbl, and it turns over freely by hand. It needs the usual parts to make it run: belts, hoses, plugs, wires, points, battery, etc. Radiator is good except for the petcock on bottom is missing, and needs a new one brazed on (and tranny cooling lines reconnected). Pushbuttons for tranny work, but I don't know condition. Tires are for rolling around yard only. They hold air and that's about it. Please note the rare spare tire compartment in right rear quarter! Some rust holes in cover, but only on outer metal layer, not inner. This could be a really great car for the person who has the money & time to fix it up. You will not have to hunt down any parts - it's all here. A lot of extra parts are included. A wagon with fins! Old Car Price Guide lists a #5 car like this at $3,100, but my reserve is WAY lower.... Car is located in Oregon (near Springfield), and does not run. It needs transported. Company choice is up to buyer, but I will assist on my end...most likely I will have to tow it to a local pick up spot. Any questions feel free to call me (Terry) at 541-726-8467 . Clear title is in my name. Thanks for looking, and good luck bidding!
