Vehicle Detail

Here again with my 1968 BMW 2002 with the turbo look that's been my pride and joy for the past 4 years. This is NOT your everyday vintage 2002. This car was built for FUN!I bought this car in Oklahoma as looks without the air-dam with lots of mechanical and electrical issues.I've made substantial upgrades along the way. I've rebuilt the motor about 12,000 miles ago and most everything else is new in a time period of 30,000 miles. The car will come with many spare parts.I've done all the work myself, taught by an 02 master on this car and I’m now ready to part with it. Everything in the lists below are new parts with an asterisk. Motor Upgrades: 2.0L block/resurface *Milled volvo 89mm pistons for higher compression ratio*IE 292 CAM*IE heavy duty rockers*IE rocker arm hardware, eccentrics, and shaft hardware*IE rocker locks*Heavy duty exhaust valves and springs*Timing chain*APR head studs*Performance MLS head gasket*All new studs, bolts, nuts, and gaskets for motor and components*Weber 38/38 (2000 miles)*IE low pressure fuel pump*Water pump*71' thermostat*IE urethane coolant hose kit*IE aluminum radiator*12" electric fan*IE distributor*8mm spark plug wires*High performance starter320 alternator *Blue Bosch coilRed line Optima Battery (2yr) in the rear Drive-train & Brake Upgrades: 320 manual 5 speed transmission320 (391) LSD with re-drilled diff. flangesCustom driveshaft to fitRebuilt CV's with shoes and spacers*Fresh center bearing, flex disc, and seals*Front & Rear wheel bearings*1/4" wheel spacersVintage ALPINA wheels 15" staggered (7"F/8"R)* Front Volvo big brake kit vented-rotors*230mm rear drums with 19mm wheel cylinders*SS braided brake hoses*All new nuts & bolts (10.9/ 12.9) Steering & Suspension Upgrades: *Front & Rear heavy duty Bilsteins*Front & Rear ST sway bars (22/19mm)*Stage 2 springs and IE spring pads all around*IE SS front strut brace*Front & Rear urethane bushing kit*Heavy duty front control arms and ball jointsLater model (heavy duty) rear control arms*Tie rod assembly left & right*Upper front strut bearings*Urethane steering couplerReinforced driver side motor mount*Rear rubber subframe mounts with urethane inserts*Rubber motor/trans mounts Interior: Now because I chose to spend most of my time and money on what I thought was most important for the car, I took it easy on the interior of the car.I stripped the carpet, top/trim vinyl out and painted everything black.Had some custom floor mats made for a better look.Still have the black door panels along with the back cab panels.Has the original rear seat in fare condition. The front seat brackets I cut out and fabricated lower cross members to have a choice of different seat options.Front seats are 1998 325i sportWhen I bought the car there was no bracket to hold the E-brake together so I fabricated a much beefier robust bracket for peace of mind.Black sun visorsBlack with silver rings cluster panel (not the wood grain) much more sought after230mm MOMO steering wheel and shift knob.ABC fire extinguisher Has no center console and no radio. Exterior: Polaris silver paint (Good)Euro front turn signals (orange)Rear roundie tail lightsTurbo air-dam and flaresVintage 1968 Texas HemisFair Plates (white on black)
