Model OverviewThe 2008 S550 has a 382-horsepower 5.5L V8 engine. The S550's V8 is matched to a seven-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is on the S550. The S550 come extremely well equipped with both traditional luxury and comfort features and the latest high-tech safety and driving aids. All S-Class models come with eight air bags.Full leather upholstery and hand-polished wood trim are standard inside the S550. The standard sound system is a harmon/kardon audio system with 13 channels and 14 speakers. The tires are all matched 90% tread High performance Continental that come from the factory on these AMG optioned cars. The body panels are laser straight with no door dings. The paint is shiny as new with very few minor imperfections. Everything works as it should. The car is mechanically sound with no funny noises. The interior is excellent with no rips or tears. History: I purchased this car from Maryland in 2010. (No harsh winters). I've kept it garaged and it shows. No smoking vehicle. It was used by my wife and she drives very slow. The vehicle was in minor accident before I purchased it and was repaired by Mercedes Benz Bethesda Md. I am a perfectionist and could never tell where the paint work was done!
