1949 International Harvester KB5. 1 1/2 ton truck in Very Good condition. Original condition except for the box. This truck has been in the family for nearly 30 years, but I don't use it much anymore and it needs a new home. The truck has the original engine and drive train, Green Diamond 233 flathead 6 cylinder with a 4 speed transmission. It runs and drives pretty well, currently needs a new battery and has not been driven much in the last several years. There is no rust, the cab was professionally painted about 6 years ago. There is an Omaha Standard box with the sides cut down to about 18", the bed floor is 2x8's, a couple are warped. There is a heavy hitch at the rear, signals do not function, 6 volt electrical system with a foot starter. The tires are decent - one front tire is recent, the other has weather checking, the rear tires are decent. There is no headliner in the cab, the seat could use recovering, the front window cranks open and there is a hood scoop vent. The glass on the passenger door is cracked, the rear window needs a new seal. The wipers do not function. The odometer reads 36000 miles, it was disconnected a few years ago needing a new cable, but the mileage is pretty close. The brakes work, but they need some work to be reliable. The truck was used to haul firewood and occasionally to help someone move, it will haul anything with a very low first gear, road speed is about 45. The chrome trim is complete, two pieces are currently loose. I have some new sock-type filters and an original service manual to go with the truck. Clear title.
