Up for Auction is a near pristine 1999 Ford Ranger 4x4, 4 door extended cab pickup. This truck was purchased new by an elderly couple in Oregon in 1999. The truck was towed twice a year from Oregon to Arizona (over 2200 miles per round trip) as well as many side trips here and there. The tow equipment is still in place on the truck and original owner estimates well over 70000 of the 168,000 miles on the odometer were towed miles. And the trucks interior and the way it drives indicate the true mileage is low. The paint and body on the Ranger are very nice – AND ZERO RUST. The trucks paint is original and does have some minor chips and scratches but nothing major. There are 4 minor dings on the drivers side of the box from a tree limb falling on the truck. Nothing major but they do exist. Other then that the truck is very, very straight! All doors, hood, tailgate line up perfectly, close nicely - The condition of this Rangers fit and finish is way, way above average for a Ranger of this age. The interior is like new! Carpet, seats' panels, headliner, glass etc are perfect, pristine, oh so nice! I do not believe you will find a Ranger with a cleaner interior. The arm rest on the console has been removed but I do have it. Everything works and works great! The Ranger is just that nice! Mechanically, near perfect! The 3.0 V-6 starts and runs nicely. Truck shifts smoothly, clutch feels great and truck drives perfectly. No noises, vibrations etc. Just a sooth, smooth ride! The only mechanical issue is there is a slight oil leak. I have narrowed it down to an oil pan gasket - It only seems to leak when the truck is sitting on a hill with the front end higher than the rear or the passengers side lower than the drivers side. Other than that, perfect! Front tires are brand new - Rears are nearing the end of their career! The Ranger is 100 percent original with the exception of the running boards. The original manuals are included. The Ford Ranger is a great truck. I have had 6 of them and truly believe they are a better truck than the Toyota. I purchased this truck to keep but unfortunately ended up inheriting my fathers Ranger. This truck is much nicer than the one I inherited but it is the one I will be selling.Finding a nice Ranger is becoming impossible. I am not really sure what Ford was thinking when the discontinued the Ranger but they did making nice clean, unmolested Rangers a commodity! On Nov-06-15 at 14:18:28 PST, seller added the following information: Interested EBAYERS, I was informed by one of the bidders today that EBAY was indicating the VIN on the truck was not correct (I assume when a Carfax report was selected). I checked the VIN and it is correct. I contacted EBAY and the discovered the posting is corrupt. EBAY informed me the entire portion outlining the vehicle specifics is not showing up.
