1993 VOLVO 240 CLASSIC RARE LIMITED EDITION STATION WAGON! A rare find! This is one of the very rare 240 “Classics”, which were the last 1600 cars made and had special colors and options including wood dash trim, special "Lattice" alloy wheels, etc. This vehicle is #951 of the last 1600 cars. We are the second owners and we have put the majority of the miles on it; we purchased it from its original owner in 2005 with just 65K miles. It has been primarily driven by two housewives. ALL of the service and repair records from both owners are available in two 3-ring binders, providing history from the time it was brand new. It has always been a non-smoker car. It comes equipped with Manual Transmission, Cruise Control, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Air Conditioning, Heated Front Seats, heated side mirrors, heated rear window, a dog gate, special Classic Edition interior styling and lattice alloy wheels. The car runs well. We have had a few minor accidents, but the car has been well repaired. Information regarding all of those repairs is included in the car service and repair binders. Known current issues: We have been told it is approaching the need for a clutch replacement. In the past, the blinkers occasionally didn’t work. We have not seen this issue in the past year. The idle is sometimes weak when first starting off – a reading at the shop indicates a fuel trim issue.Occasionally, the stereo does not recognize the auxiliary input.Lately, the rear door latch doesn’t want to latch closed.Missing the spare tire.Minor body rust in places and a minor scrape along the wheel wells on the driver’s side of the car (see photos).Speaker mount in driver’s side door is cracked, so speaker is secured with zip-ties This car has been well maintained and serviced by highly respected Volvo repair specialists.
