Up for sale is this Beautiful Palomino Blue and white 1956 Buick Special Riviera 46R hard top . Current owner purchased the car 8 years ago and needs to sell for personal reasons. This Buick is an older restoration using the original 322 c.i. "nail head" V-8 rated at 220 horsepower and the 2-speed Dyna-Flow automatic transmission. The Riviera also came equipped with power brakes. No power steering. All of the window regulators and vent windows work normally. The seats, headliner, door panels, and carpet are in good condition. The frame and floorboards, including the trunk area appear solid. The exterior chrome is showing some age, but the stainless is in good condition. The gas tank was taken out, cleaned, and flushed. A new water pump and battery were also added during the past few years. The Buick starts, drives, and shifts fine, but there are some areas which need to be addressed. They include the following: - No radio- Some of the old body work in the rocker panels and driver's side need attention.- There appears to be some rust starting at the bottom of the rear window.- Exhaust leak (even though the system appears to be new)- Wipers need vacuum line to work- Speedometer does not work- Odometer worked up until a year ago. The mileage at purchase was approximately 71,000 (not known if these are original or not)- Dash pad is pulling away from the front window.- Gas gauge does not work- Left front headlight does not have a 'high beam'- Slight leak from the transmissions rear seal- Unfortunately, the owner misplaced the trunk and door lock key.
