Documented 38,000 ORIGINAL miles. Second owner purchased this car in 1980 with 37,000 miles, did a body off restoration in 1985, and today the car has 38,094 miles. It has been stored and covered in a heated underground garage for the past 30 years and driven to local car shows and Sunday drives around the lake. The car just received a recent tune up with new coil, adjusted carbs, points, plugs, condenser, brakes, brake master cylinder, new battery and five new SR steel belted radial tires with less than 300 miles. The car comes with the original softtop, top frame, side curtains, tonneau cover, hammer, hand crank starter, service manual, and jack, all in excellent original condition. In addition, the car has a brand new soft top that has never been opened. During the restoration the fenders and body panels were removed and repainted the original factory red. Seats and interior were totally redone keeping the original black interior color and upgrading the seats to black leather with red piping. There is NO RUST or BONDO on this car anywhere. The wheels are original painted steel spoked wheels and are in excellent condition. This car was restored as a low mile rust free car and you will not find a better example should you decide to make this car into a # 1 condition concourse show quality car. The underside is undercoated but all the inside fender wells were left with a shiny painted finish. Lights, horn, gages, heater, blinkers, all work as intended. The chrome is outstanding as seen in the photos. There is a crack in the paint above both front fenders and a paint blemish just behind the passenger headlight. I have taken a picture of these three blemishes but they are difficult to see. I have taken well over 100 photos of the car so if there is any other photo you care to see, please call or email me. With the value of the Jaguars and Austin Healey’s continuing to sky rocket, the MGA’s appear to be right behind them. The Hagerty book value for a #2 condition MGA is $35,000 and my reserve is far below this price so if you are in the market for a fast appreciating English collector sports car, this car can be purchased for a great value.
