1978 Ford F150 4x4 I have owned this truck for about 8 years. It has gone thru a complete restoration pretty much everything is either new or rebuilt. Frame off nut and bolt. The truck has a very clean original feel to the body and interior just like intended in 1978. But heavily modified drivetrain. The truck is very nice all body work done correctly and rock solid as you can tell while driving the truck is nice and tight no rattles and squeaks. Paint is base coat clear coat and wet sanded and buffed to high gloss finish that looks awesome. The paint was done 7 years ago and I get compliments on it all the time everyone is amazed when they hear its 7 years old. The dash and inside of cab is just as shiny as the outside was all sprayed at the same time with the truck completely disassembled as it should be. The truck has Ford original doors no crappy Taiwan tin that sounds like a tin can when you close them. The motor is a 466 that I had built by a local engine shop and is a beast. Trans is a rebuilt C6 from a professional shop also. I love this truck just needs a few things to finish it off. It is very drivable now as I have been cruising for the last couple years. It went to Woodward dream cruise in 2014 I drove it up and down the strip in the heat idling along never got hot and ran great this truck is done right and dependable. I just have a new career and no time or ambition to do the final touches it needs. And with a family of four really looking for a muscle car. I am probably going to kick myself for ever letting it go along with my daughters as they love riding in it. This thing is a ground pounder and sounds like drag car extremely responsive too just a blast to drive. Engine 460 bored .30 over 10.46 comp ratio alum heads, ARP head studs, Full Comp Cams valve train including 1.7 pro magnum roller rocker, matched valve springs, some port and polish work, double roller timing chain, SFI fluid damper. Isky hydraulic flat tappet camshaft intake 284 deg .544 lift . Ex 292 deg .573 lift on a 108 deg lobe separation. Forged dome top pistons, moly rings, Ford Racing rods. All ARP Fasteners, windage Tray, Milodon deep sump oil pan, all factory size bearings, balanced rotating assembly by Shaker Inc, in Granger IN. Holley 750 DP 4 corner idle, Holley Blue electric fuel pump, Edelbrock performer RPM intake, Huge Griffen Alum Radiator electric fan thermostatically controlled with 160 deg March Performance serpentine kit, Saginaw power steering pump, Powermaster 1 wire alt, powermaster starter,L&L fenderwell headers 3 in mandrel bent exhaust all stainless including the flowmaster 2 chamber mufflers. Motor is est. at 500hp 500lb of torque. Makes power until 6,000 RPM and will shred the 35 in tires with ease. lol Trans C6 built with alto clutches and a coan 10" 3200 stall axles 4:88 gears front and rear. Rear is 9" with Detroit tru track in the rear and Dana 44 with limited slip in the front all seals been replaced and Lucas oil in differentials all Napa super strength u joints. I have never had the truck offroad as it is too nice!! Suspension 4" suspension lift brand new superlift springs front and rear no blocks at all in the rear. All new shocks, bushings, tie rods, steering stabilizer, drop pitman arm, adjustable pan hard bar for the front to center the axle perfect after being lifted with a drop bracket to make it parallel with the center link. 3 in body lift with bumpers all raised to factory heights to the body. This a rare optioned quad shock front setup from the factory. Frame all wire wheeled/cleaned up inside and out and painted black. Brand new 35in Goodyear Duratrac tires (315/75/16) which is 35x12.50 16. on 16x10 aluminum wheels with less than 500 miles on them. Interior The interior is very nice with new carpet and everything restored to like new condition. The seat however was red when I bought it and it was dyed black and is in need of being reupholstered but foam is in great shape. other than that perfect. floor and back wall of cab were coated with bed liner material and carpet applied over the top. Autometer gauges, B&M mega shifter,Trans temp gauge New windshield, and rear slider. Body Base Coat Clear Coat 1974 corvette White is very bright and flat looks fantastic.I welded closed the holes for the Ford letters across the hood because I thing it looks better. I have all the body mouldings to go back on the truck and fastner hardware just don't have the time or ambition to do it. The moulding is very nice and straight but could use some refinishing to make it as nice as the truck. it does have brand new wheel well mouldings on truck already though. The few issues it has are the tailgate is a aftermarket piece that doesn't fit great and when it was painted got a few runs and during wet sanding for buffing cut thru the clear in an area so will need to be resprayed. Also the bed floor doesn't have bedliner material on it, It is primer. very solid but a few dents,Could use a steering gear box a little choppy (not bad) and the gas gauge doesn't work. This truck is always parked inside and taken very well care of. Never even really been dirty only dusty from sitting in the garage and never washed with a pressure washer. Thanks for looking.
