Vehicle Detail

Solid, great running wagon with correct station wagon engine. Lots of recent work done in 2014/2015. Body is solid, straight, and accident-free. Factory original red/white color combination. As a 2-owner car, it spent its whole life in Spokane WA. I had it shipped down to N. California in 2014. It was in pretty good shape when I got it, and have done lots to it this year. Thousands of dollars in receipts available documenting hundreds of individual parts purchased from Clark's from previous owner and myself (receipt binder included). Car is driven on a regular basis just for fun and to keep everything lubricated. Car is kept covered, and cover is included. Starts right up with absolutely no smoke. Idles smooth and quiet. Drives straight without pulling or shaking. Upgrades: Viton pushrod tubes, electronic ignition, rebuilt carbs, electric fuel pump, valves adjusted, new valve cover gaskets. Suspension: 4 new shocks, new rear coil springs and bushings, new pitman arm bushing, new shifter bushing and linkages lubed. It has a rear antisway bar from a later model. Upgraded wheel bearing housings facilitate quick and inexpensive bearing replacements. Good clutch. Replaced gas tank and related fuel system components. Replaced underdash wiring harness. New muffler and tailpipe. Like-new whitewalls tires and good brakes. Recent tuneup includes new wires, cap, rotor, spark plugs, oil change. Windshield wipers, headlights, taillights, and turn signals all work properly. Interior has been completely gone through, including new headliner with correct original fabric professionally installed, rear plastic door hinge covers, new seatcovers, carpet, matching floormats, door panels, and rubber molded weatherstripping. All receipts for parts and service included with vehicle. 4 Corvair wagons have sold on ebay so far in 2015, ranging from $5,800 to $8,950. All of them were pretty nice, and this one is comparable; not the best or the worst. However, this is the only one with a 4-speed; most were the more common '61 models with bench seats (approx. 10x more 61's than 62's were made). Wagons have been one of the best-appreciating segments of the Corvair market over the past few years. Will consider trading for a 62-64 Spyder coupe or 65-66 Corsa within a 500 mile radius. Call Brian at 585-317-4044 if you have any questions. Good luck! On Oct-16-15 at 23:02:09 PDT, seller added the following information: Solid, great running wagon with correct station wagon engine.
