This time capsule SCCA vintage racer started life in 1960 when it left the Reutter factory as a beautiful Cabriolet in Fjord Green (color code 705) with leather interior. Chassis #154148 was converted to a race car some time in the 1970s, at which time it received extensive performance modifications. A full roll cage was installed (see photos). Other modifications include (but are not limited to) cooling vents and ducting, fuel cell mods, pinned front and rear lids, dry sump system with oil cooler, disc brake system, front auxiliary sway bar, rear Carrera adjustable coil overs, and more. The engine needs to be built and includes everything you see in the photos. There are also numerous spares (see picture). The engine case is blank. This chassis started out very solid and has never been stored outside, as indicated by the original 1982 SCCA Technical Inspection sticker on the front. If you've been looking for a car that will hit the track running, this is as good as it gets. All of the hard work has been done for you, and you'll be on the track with a car that could even be competitive with the right power. Unlike most vintage racers which are built on cut up 356 coupes, this car left the factory as a cabriolet and, as such, will only skyrocket in value. When you're finished racing, you can restore the car to its rare Fjord Green and have a very valuable example.
