I'm selling my 1975 Suzuki TS400 Apache - a very powerful 2-stroke endura motorcycle. I encourage you to research the TS400 - it has an interesting history. Usually, the powerband of a fast 2-stroke motorcycle is above 5,000 rpms. Not this bike. Because it has such a large displacement the power starts coming on at under 2,000 RPMs. By 3,400 rpms it is scary fast. This bike had a reputation for not being the best trials bike - compared to the competition - largely due to the excess power at low RPMs. For me, the powerband is much more friendly when driving on the street. This bike has a great sound in the exhaust. Not like typical 2-strokes - but very beefy like a low thumping growl. It has so much compression that I literally need to stand on the kickstart with all my weight (180lbs) in order to start it up. It always starts after between 1 and 3 attempts. The carb was professionally tuned - and the choke works properly and is only needed until the engine warms up. The gages work great, and all lights and signals work correctly - the locking gas cap matches the ignition key. It could use a new paint job and the special decals (which are available on ebay for about $50) in order to look outstanding. Its mostly original paint - it looks like the previous owner had some touch up done on the gas tank and side cover - since its not the same shade of silver. Included in the sale is a correct front fender - in excellent condition for this '75 TS400. The one installed is an aftermarket type. The clear title is in my name, and it is currently registered and insured. This is a classic motorcycle and is sure to increase in value with time.
