Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 1967 Nissan Patrol. I apologize if I confused anyone the way I listed it - but Ebay doesn't yet include Patrols as vehicles made by Nissan. The history of the Nissan Patrol is very interesting - just google it or go to Wikipedia for more information. Today, these classic Nissan Patrols are very popular in Australia, India and Afghanistan. Their popularity in the states is growing. I have owned this patrol since 2011. It has a clear title, currently registered in my name. It runs very well. It is so much fun to drive. Usually I lower the windshield onto the hood latches - even on a hot day it feels so good to have the wind blowing hard on your face. It is very solid no rattles or issues come to mind. In fact, I'll share a quick story. A few months ago the battery wouldn't hold a charge very well - most likely from age. So, I decided to just use the hand crank that is made for the patrol - and I was able to easily start the patrol almost every time - for a couple months. After a while it did get a bit tiring - its not difficult but you do have use a good technique. Anyway, it now has a new battery and no issues since. I would recommend the new buyer get a roll bar for it - its my understanding that the one made for Toyota Land Cruisers fits with minor trimming. Also, it would be cool to have a safari top - or bikini top - for the really hot days - or when it rains. It currently does not have a top. This patrol has no rust - none visible anywhere. I have crawled underneath and observed a pretty clean underside with no damage from accidents or rust issues. The metal floors are very clean throughout. The body is pretty good - but has had a few dings and scratches over the years. It looks great from 15 feet away - but up close it can be seen that it is not a frame off restoration. Which is good - the purpose of a 'jeep' like this to use it - drive it in the snow, the dirt, the rocks - this thing can handle it. With the powerful 6 cylinder torquey engine, low gears and the beefy BFG All-Terrain tires this jeep will take you there. I am selling several of my favorite vehicles this month in order to make room for my other projects. But I will truly miss this patrol.
