One 1999 740 il in running, driving condition with strong engine which was replacement engine approximately 2 years ago when I blew a hose and damaged the original power plant. Odometer reads 159 K but replacement engine has about140k and ran great until the computer went bad and the dealer said 2 grand for new one and we drove it with a vibration (due to computer) the past year until the rear axle noise "gear?" started 2 weeks ago and I have too many cars anyway and decided its time to sell this one cheap. (Now that's a run on sentence if there ever was one!) It has a solid transmission which shifts as it should. The body has some rust at a couple door bottoms and a minor rear door dings, it also just (2 weeks ago), started having a bad noise in the rear axle which is a four hour fix according to a mechanics "test drive" diagnosis... The head liners sagging a bit and the A/C is cold but on occasion doesn't work 100 percent. The seats are nice for the age but passenger door plastic threshold is broken and I'm sure there are a myriad of other little problems that are present in this 16 year old BMW... Glass is good. I'm selling this less than perfect car for PARTS ONLY, AS IS, WHERE IS! I want to sell this car to someone who needs an engine and or tranny or just wants a parts car with many good parts. This engine will work 100 percent with your computer modules in your car. The Brakes and suspension are working fine contact me with any questions. My loss is your gain.
