Thank you! 1983 FIAT PININFARINA SPIDER 2000 Please read the description below I am pleased to offer this very attractive 1983 Fiat Pininfarina 2000 Spider. It will be sold with no reserve which means the last bid will own it. These Spider 2000’s are hard to find especially one in this condition. Please read on as I will describe the important points and will provide many pictures. First and foremost this is a rust free (meaning no holes or rot) Spider with very nice paint. Originally this 2000 was red and repainted to an attractive teal. The paint quality is excellent and issue free. I could not find any blisters or bubbles that might constitute rust. The undercarriage is free of any rot. The jack points are excellent as well as the rocker panels. The bumpers appear all original as well as all of the trim and there is no evidence of past problems. The interior is the original creamy beige however there are cracks on top of the dash panel. The seats look great as you see in the pictures and they are leather not vinyl. The Convertible top is new and goes up and down perfectly. This Fiat runs great and is very peppy. Since I have only owned it a short time I have not spent a lot of time driving it. However here is what I found. The main issue is the various stalks to perform functions such as the windshield wiper and light controls. This unit should be replaced and I am sure it can be found on Ebay or other parts sources. The other issue is the driver’s window is down and will not go up. It is a power window system. The powertrain (the important part) is great. The engine starts easily (fuel injection) has no unusual noises and is powerful. The clutch and trans are near perfect. It would occasionally grind going into 4th gear (5 speed manual gearbox) but when shifted correctly it would not make the noise (if you have further concerns about this call me do not email). The body is tight with a proper suspension. The brakes work fine but there is some pedal travel. The alloy wheels are in good condition with the tires looking new. Well there you have it, a great fun car that should be inexpensive to maintain. . As always if you have any questions simply call or email.
